We are. 45 days to go and BGC hasn't started yet. All indications that it won't be done by the one year mark. At this point, we'll be happy with ANY update.

How many of you are in the same boat?

Contact your local MP office. They can help you find the answer and/or call someone that knows the answer. Utilize the MP office. That is one of the reasons they are there.

I really need your sincere support/ suggestion,

I submitted my inland spousal pr application at August 2, 2018. Got open work permit in November 2018.

Now 27 days left as per CIC website for pr process and my background check and elligibility reviewing are still in process.

The problem is , my passport is expiring in November 17,2019 and so my OWP is validate till Nov 2017.

I couldn't renew passport earlier as my country Bangladesh don't process unless it has less then six month. And from Toronto it will take almost 6 weeks to renew the passport. As only 27 days left as per cic website for pr process, I m afraid to renew passport now .

If they need more time to process then I will not have time to renew passport either maybe, maybe I will need to extent my owp but for that even I need to update my passport.

Any suggestions in this regard

I talked to cic, they advised to renew my passport as they can't determine that my pr will be processed within one year timeline. Only 22 days left in timeline.. they told in the mean time of renewing passport ( minimum one month) if I hear / get interview call I just need to upload a letter of explanation in my online application account. And they will change or extend the interview date as per the situation.

Is there anyone who has experienced about changing interview/ copr date .

I sent in my FBI Police Certficate. Some people have been asked for state police checks...but I didn't see anywhere where I was asked that...does everyone need that? If my app was incomplete they would have told me by now wouldn't they? #overthinkingAGAIN

I don’t think everyone from the US needs state police checks — I only submitted my FBI cert, back when I applied, and I’ve not been asked for anything else, not even an RCMP cert. So don’t worry if they do want it they’ll ask, but I at least got AIP without it!

hi there, i received an email from cic asking for travel history and a background declaration form. anybody on the same boat?
after i received the email my background check change to reviewing your background check.
do you think how long before i get an interview or decision made? my application is in Edmonton now because I see the email they provided addressed on Canada place edmonton downtown.

I got a letter from IRCC that I need to submit schedule A form again. They said that my personal history section was not complete. But as far as I can see from the photos of form that I took before submitting the application that it is completed and there are no gaps. What could be the reason?
