I was requesting to provide supporting document last week as well. I send the document right away last week thru email. But haven’t heard back anything from cic. Did you send the document via email as well?
My application was received on 1st May. And I got additional document request on 2nd July, with temporary application number (starting with XF).
I submitted those, 2 days back.
My question is - should I be able to see my eCAS status at this point ? I am unable to see eCAS, neither am I able to link myCIC.
Should I call their agent ?
You can check the status in ecas first (using your UCI, DOB and Country of Birth). Once you have an update there, you can link your application to my cic account.

Call IRCC call center, the agent can verify for you if all docs have been received. Note that there's a delay in processing emails and docs from that email address. I waited for a week until reception is confirmed.
