Hello everyone! I have received a postdoc offer recently but the university will not apply for a LMIA-exempt closed work permit. Instead, they are asking me to go through post-grad open work permit, because my highest education is from Canada. After working as a postdoc on post grad open work permit for one year and receiving an extension for another year, will I be eligible under CEC category?
Thanks!

Hello there, as long as it is a work permit with valid job offer "full time" YES, after one year you can claim the points and if you got extension for at least one year, then YES you can claim that and apply for PR. Best of luck

Hey, Thank you for guidance. If I work on PGWP for one year and do not apply for another year extension in job, will I still get points for 1 year Canadian experience?
