So if the main applicant becomes a PR, how long does it take for the dependent spouse that is outside of Canada to get an update? Please respond.

Time vary, depends on VO and background check. I was told between 4-6 months however I’ve been waiting for 6 months without any update

Yah , It’s frustrating. As I know the average is 4-6 months for whole process but in my case I’m now almost four months and half and still in process . I don’t know if they’ll ask me for midical or they’ll consider the one I did infront. Also if bimotrics needed or not . I know PPR will need minimum two weeks for COPR. This will add another month to finilze so I don’t know if I can make it within 6 months or I’ll exceed it.

As I know they should ask for biometrics to issue visa and they will ask for medical if you passed one year. Have you sent them follow up email ??

I was told it starts when main applicant signs COPR.
It’s confusing, if you check the application online it shows the processing starts when the main applicant added the dependent

My medical will be end on 25th of August, so I guess still there is time

Hi, here is some info I can divulge:
- it is not a new marriage, +20 years of the due legal marriage and kids;
- Wife is overseas, husband in Canada
