Yup just talked to an agent this morning. Is the same thing, waiting queue , everything is completed on Canada side, and they say it's gonna be sent soon to Mexico for final processing...

lol well i guess they say the same thing to everyone around... they can't say Mexico is late by 3,4 months.. would look bad ha? so... i have tried to make her say so what are we waiting for ? Mexico ? she was like Ye .. sorry well it's gonna be sent soon is all i know and she added for a Central america application , mine was moving super fast ... and shall be completed before 12 months.

So that just confirmed it .. they are ... and that's why we are all stuck after some verification steps and they have none intention of switching the extra apps to Missisauga that are from Central America.

On my case, BGC is started : Criminality is passed still security that is not done she said.

Eligiblity gonna be processed at Mexico when it's gonna be received there.

so right now apps are on queue, waiting to be sent since a while ago i guess.

And then 4 days later they transferred it to Mississauga so hoping my security has started now. No idea how long this takes? I know eligibility is done at the forwarded Visa Office. Been 10 days since file transfer. The wait is on

Well in my case they won't send to Missisauga i guess cause Pa is from a none exempt country.... anyway is a waiting game since start and nothing to really catch up so...

Security

34 (1) A permanent resident or a foreign national is inadmissible on security grounds for

a) engaging in an act of espionage that is against Canada or that is contrary to Canada’s interests;
b) engaging in or instigating the subversion by force of any government
a. engaging in an act of subversion against a democratic government, institution or process as they are understood in Canada;
c) engaging in terrorism;
d) being a danger to the security of Canada;
e) engaging in acts of violence that would or might endanger the lives or safety of persons in Canada; or
f) being a member of an organization that there are reasonable grounds to believe engages, has engaged or will engage in acts referred to in paragraph (a), (b), (b.1) or (c).


That's security and is done by CSIS an independent division then IRCC review this , is like the LAST step so. Usuallt it starts really early in the process to give them time to evaluate everything. I guess ours should start soon... we are on month #5

We uploaded our additional documents about 6 weeks ago and have not heard anything since then. (CPC-Mississauga) GCKEY says "submitted" and that our documents have been uploaded. Outland application. PA is from USA.

Is waiting 6 weeks for them to review documents normal? Should I contact IRCC and ask what is going on, or keep waiting?

We uploaded ours 6 days after AOR in March and still hasn’t been “reviewed” although we’ve had file transfer etc. I think sometimes they don’t change it to “reviewing” ; ie, the officer just reads over it to clarify and then proceeds without going through GC and updating

Thanks, yeah I check every day to see if it has changed to "reviewing", but of course it has not yet. We are hoping the next step is decision made, so we are hoping for that any day now.
