I am the sponsor and when I open the ECAS it shows file received and in process since 2nd July and If I open ECAS with the receipt then it shows that file is under process for Permanent residency. I guess we'll get the update soon via email. If anything changes I will update

If they have not started processing your application, it will not show anything till that time. Looking at the current timelines I guess it should show you the update by the end of this week.
you can check it with the sponsors UCI number dob and last name or the applicants fees receipt number, last name and dob

no u wont be able to access ecas if they return ur application

I am a Canadian citizen by birth, and I am moving to Montreal on August 21 with my 3 year old son. I have sponsored my husband and I was wondering how long would it take to receive and answer from the IRCC. My husband will come to Montreal in October as a visitor until he gets his PR, what happens if we are both in Montreal and we don’t use our home address anymore? If he needs to have his medical tests or biometrics can he do that in Montreal or he has to be in Greece (we are applying from Greece)

u will have to wait 2 more weeks may be for them to send u file no..once u get that inform cic abt change of address ..not sure if u r moving to montreal for long ..biometrics n medical come in email or gckey but some ppl have gotten file number in the mail here so have someone chk ur mail to be safe..n yes ur husband will have to go to greece if he needs to do biometrics but hopefully he gets it in greece before october before he comes to canada as a visitor
