Clink the link to the tracker and keep checking (like everyone else, I guess). See signature for the link to tracker.
Based on current trends and CIC workload, June 20th receipt should see movement in late August...
Probably not a lot if he gets through the required treatment and survives.
He will just be on some oral medications eg clopidpgrel, bisoprolol, rosuvastatin, nitrospray prn, ASA EC
These do not cost much and the patient pays for it through insurance or out of pocket.
For myocardial infarction and coronary artery disease the treatment is not heavy on an ongoing basis. Just the initial intervention for thrombolysis either via PTCA or medical rTPA.
FYI, even though patient pays for the drug (when not a senior or child age), IRCC count the drug cost against the yearly quota. They assume that OHIP will be paying at one stage when they reach the age limit.

Would tend to disagree. Think the cost of treatment will definitely factor into PGP approval. Although some cardiac patients are lucky and bounce back and return to relatively good health others continue to have cardiac issues or start seeing the effects of aging on various body systems. Very hard to comment on what the outcome will be. Hopefully this family has insurance because previous posts indicate the parents have been in Canada for 4 years which is definitely longer than average for a supervisa or TRV. The other issue becomes insurance will no longer cover treatment after the acute event finishes and parents are expected to return to their countries once stabilized.
Hello everyone my application was received on June 6th. Before submitting application i got my 2016 income reassesed and paid tax with interest. Although I have attached NOA’s from 2016-18 years but I have also consented to cic in forms.
I wonder if there would be a problem with reassessment if anyone else is in same boat?
I had similar situation. My accountant (a friend) filed my 2016 tax wrong as it was the last minute (end of April) and he submitted the wrong file. I didn't know until I got the NOA and I refiled a second one in the same year (around June 2016). The original didn't meet LICO but the reassessment met.
I consent CIC to obtain my info from CRA on the form, but I was super worried that they would use the first assessment instead of the reassessment. Therefore, I also attached the notice assessment for 2016 to 2018, and the reassessment for Year 2016 along with the form. Hopefully it would work out.
My friend would be guilty to death if my case got messed up because of this.

Reassessment during the same tax year is much less suspicious versus 3 years later right before PGP submission. If people have legitimate reasons for reassessment it should be fine. There are some people who seem to have forgotten a whole second job and discovered their omission 2 years later. Much harder to believe.
