Security has not started also I don't understand how I can fall into SS with just 1 travel history to UK? I have no military or middle east background and have no visa refusals. I can't think of anything in my background that raises flags and would trigger comprehensive security screening
I've been lurking around this thread for a while. You have been very helpful. Thank you and all the best.

"Complex Cases" - ha ha ha, it's very funny. I did not think about this expression before.
It sounds really silly when I think about myself as a "Complex Case". Especially after spending several years in Canada, passing all previous visa applications and that IRCC has a pile of my previously submitted documents, LOL.
I think November "complex" cases are being solved. I've some people getting PPRs here and there so the 7-8 months trend for "complex" people should hit us "soon".

So is this an acknowledgement email then? We got the exact reply too today. And there was also these lines stating if your enquiry is about immigration application then we recommend you to use this link - which was cic link actually. And another link to find who is your MP based on your location.
So we are not sure if this is just an acknowledgement email or jus a final email that is asking us to jus check the CIC portal for our application status.
I think your file is moving along - it is just a matter of having the officer "press an OK button". Canada day is coming soon, so I guess they are all busy preparing their trailers and camping gear. It might come "next month", or "anytime soon"
I hope it comes soon buddy! There is nothing "complex" per se in the application itself. The only "complexity" is the process by which someone decides they want to pick your file or not. And my guess is that process is totally random.
