Okay...well I just called and they told me they haven't begun my BGC as of yet..They are waiting on medicals (from my non-accompanying dependents) which I have sent in a Stat Declaration saying they refuse to get medicals. HOWEVER, I thought someone here said that they medicals and BGC's are handled in different areas..this is all so confusing.
The usual order seems to be BGC after medical... with non-accompanying dependents maybe there’s an ‘intermediate’ step for dependent medicals? And that’s where it’s stuck. Frustrating. Did you ever order notes? Maybe they would show what’s happened with your declaration?

No, i haven't ordered notes. I know they received the stat of dec because I sent it through the local Member of Parliament's office through their email system and they received confirmation that they were received.
Maybe I should withdraw my application and wait until my children are over 22..or all married...would I still be able to keep my OWP until end of validation?
You’ve come so far that it seems a shame to withdraw and begin again! I’d just keep waiting (but maybe ask an immigration lawyer for a free consultation if you haven’t— though it still seems to me like it’s just a delay, not indicative of a rejection or anything. After all it’s not even been 12 months yet!)

So there is an update I want to share.
Hello All
Following is my timeline.
Application Received at CPC-Mississauga AUG 21, 2018
Medical Request on NOV 02, 2018
Medical Passed NOV 30, 2018
Sponsor Approval (SA) APR 05, 2019
Decision made (ECAS) JUNE 14, 2019
So my confusion is I haven't received any AIP letter and also DM doesn't clarify anything further? is this DM for my AIP? what should I expect next? Interview letter?
I will be thankful for any inputs and suggestions. Cheers and good luck to everyone!
Haha believe me I know! But don’t panic, remember that we are still within normal processing times and lots of us are still waiting (even if others got a little extra lucky and went faster )
It actually seems like a lot of people still waiting are from the US — not all, but at least a few. I wonder if they prioritized non-US applications assuming that the US ones would take less time, to keep overall processing times about equal... then were surprised to have the non-US applications go fast?
So there is an update I want to share.

Congratulations! Hang tight, next step is your landing interview and you will receive an email with a date for it. The AIP seems to be an odd step for lots of people as not everyone get that email or super late. Who knows, you may get AIP in a few days and the interview letter right after. All in all, you are in a good spot to be landing soon!

Don’t withdraw your application, wait for an update, worst comes to worst you will be denied but there is no reason for that. Your application will move forward but hopefully it will be within the 12 months. We are all in limbo mode here and we will get there. The wait is horrible but there is no other option. Keep it up
Hello everyone I’m new here. My application was received on August 23. I passed medical on December 24, SA was approved on March 11. My application background checks hasn’t even started. I called IRCC today and they said there’s no note on my file and that they have transferred my file to Fredricton, Newbrunswick. Does anybody have an idea regard this visa office in terms of their processing pace? Thanks

I don't know anything about the office you are referring to, but my app was received on August 16 and they haven't begun my BGC either. You have joined a great group here, though. This is a VERY supportive crowd of people. Good luck to you!
