Then why would an IRCC office be open on a Saturday when they're usually off on Saturday?
I meant to say for Victoria Day example that they work one day to replace another day
My thinking is that if an extra day of opening hours is scheduled, it's not going to help with a backlog if those who work the Saturday end up taking a day off in the following week to make up for it. It would be like kicking the can down the road. So I reckon there's another reason why they're open on certain Saturdays.

Yeah of course but I meant its either to fix backlogs or to replace a usual working day due to holidays etc..
For backlog: some IRCC offices like Vancouver and Etobicoke have been working for several weeks now on Saturdays to reduce their backlog
Yeah, so disappointed by that, but I guess our officer is just being more strict than some of the others. At this point I'm wondering how much longer the proof for cohabitation request will add to the application. Weeks? Months?
I am also wondering why DM would be delayed for the sponsor in this case.
There are some of us from August 2018 still in BGC or still waiting for BGC to even start, so you’re not the last. We’re not QC applicants but a lot of us did get transferred to Montreal for work sharing and it slowed things down a lot. May be the case for you too.

Not necessarily..but anyways @gunnar777 can know which office is working on file from the email or letter of request for additional documents... it should say at the bottom which IRCC office sent it

No one can know.. its different for everyone, background check is the longest part of the process and can take from 1 month to 3 or 4 months and sometimes it can take longer than that ( 5-6 months to a year) depending on your case, it is a waiting game, all you can do is wait and hope for the best
What is your country of origin?
I've been noticing a lot of people were having trouble on Step 4 as the application number on their CoPRs are the same app number as their Application of Permanent Residence. So if it doesn't start with an R, try using your UCI Number and Family Name, instead of your application number.
If successful, you will be able to see the PR Card application number starting with an R.
I was able to link mine like an hour after my landing.

Yes after some time if everything looks good for the officer then you will receive AIP, if not then you'll get a request for additional documents or file transfer.
After background check is done and if AIP was received then you'll get DM
Good luck!
