My application was received on 1st May 2019. I did not hear anything from CIC. Any ideas on timeline ? Should I be expecting something this week ?

I hope so ... General wait time is from 30-45 days so about 4-6 weeks

In the other forum, April 23 applicant received AoR .. you can start expecting in a week or so

I am in the process of filing the forms and collecting all supporting documents to sponsor my husband who is in India. The document checklist says " to provide birth certificate or baptisal certificate" . He does not have birth certificate but do have 10, 12 grade certificates. Please let me know the alternate for birth certificate - Will explanation letter along with 10/12th certificate be sufficient? or else does he require to get any other certificates from municipal office?

I think LOE along with Grade 10 certificate should be enough. Do attach his National ID card copy stating same details along with Passport Bio-page as additional documents.

Sponsor will get an email. Application can then be linked to GCKey and monitored on ECAS.

Hi Guys,

I am Canadian citizen, I have applied my wife Sponsorship under outland category. I might get a job offer in USA is it okey for Canadian Citizen to work in US until or after principal Applicant(wife) arrive to Canada.
My application recieved on May 27, 2019.
I am expecting to receive the AOR in 30-45 days as per previous review at this forum.
