Will do
Can I be FRANK? Seriously nobody can actually tell as it is right now. The new Government (CAQ) is actually the problem but however for those of us that have CSQ as far back as 2016/2017, PPR is like 1000% sure, the only problem is when it will come because we dont know.
However if you applied through Quebec, whichever of the programme and you have your CSQ cert...trust your PPR cannot be denied except you have -VE security & background Issues.
For me...For me...and from the Infos..I have gathered..once you have your CSQ your PPR is like 99% if you dont have any derogative issues when scanning your security profile..
Lackofusername00 dont worry your PPR is around the corner please keep the hope BURNING. Cheers.

There are a couple of comments earlier where it disappeared when it is nearing the date and afterwards will appear as “ your application is taking more time than intended” or something similar . Raised web forms were just to say it is indeed taking more time and to be patient. Browse the previous pages, I don’t remember the users who wrote it but they sure did. Unless they are tagged, I doubt they will come across your query any time soon
sorry buddy

Hi Niko80,
Same thing happen with me last month ,after that it's showing we need more time to process your application. 20 month complete on 23 April 2019 .still waiting.
Hello
When I applied for CSQ, I remember having had to provide several documents certified true copy of originals ( school certificates, etc). However, for Federal, I only filled the online doc without any proof for the education records, work records etc. Does background check take long because they have to seek authentication of what we wrote by themselves or do they tally with the CSQ clearance record?
One inland and the rest Outland . Have faith and don’t lose hope, it’s a long waiting time for most of us but the thing is, you will definitely get your PR, it’s only a matter of time and at worst, you might spend a last Christmas/New year in your actual country before definitely having a frozen one in 2020! The frustration will be over soon buddy, I just hope it will be like a domino effect when one gets a good news. 15months for me so far.
I agree...
@lackofusername00 - Don't feel exhausted. Let this process flow with its own pace, while you should be engaged with your daily life. Don't worry about this process at all. I know its hard to say not to worry, but the point is that you don't gain anything by worrying unnecessary as these processing timelines (published vs actual) are beyond applicant's control. So enjoy your present. I can guarantee once you land in Canada, you will miss the time you have at your disposal now! Cheers.
BtW, my application was received on 11th Oct 2018. So only 7.5 months completed so far. This journey can be long, but not endless! This journey will certainly bear fruits towards the end!

Background checks at the Federal Stage take more time because the govt forwards your details to independent firms that perform an intelligence check on you to see if you can be a potential security concern for Canada. This can be done in conjunction with tons of goverment agencies operating worldwide to cross-check your background records (e.g. police forces of multiple countries, Interpol, Intelligence teams etc.). And yes, if they are doubtful about your background, they can deep dive as much as they want. So we have to be patient. Additionally, once this report is submitted by the government agency to CIC, a CIC agent has to again verify the background checks conducted and then take the final decision to clear your application. Hope this helps.
