Ah what fun .
SO finally tracked down parents parents dates of birth
Grandfather was born in 1894 - and i am unable to fill it in . get a pop up saying year must be > 1900 !! argh!!
I am glad i have no hair !
Suggestions ?

My PGP application was received on May 9. I can see my application through ECAS shown as "application received" but I was not able to link my application to my cic account.
Has anyone been able to link their application?
Also, Has anyone received AOR? How about biometrics letter? I have paid for biometrics but did not receive any letter for it...

Are you guys submitting the form (Use of a representative) IMM5476 even though you (with the help of your parents) filled out the forms for your parents?

I didn't submit that form for any of my application with CIC even though I did fill all the forms

Put 1900. Then have an addendum to state that grandfather born 1894 but unable to fill in form due to limitation of choices.

Your Grandfather is 125 years old?

I had the same issue. In the form I filled in 1900-01-01.
I just added a post-it note on that page with the correctly DOB. Or you can add an explanation letter.

I noticed that someone was able to link after in process status. I am not able to link too.

Hi there! I have two questions regarding the forms for parents sponsorship :

1)Additional Dependants/Declaration [IMM 0008DEP] form is basically for any additional dependats other than you parents right? In my case its just my father and mother so I need not fill this one, am I right?
2)In one of the forms they ask if your parents have held any government positions/ civil service postions. My father used to work in the Indian railways very long ago(more than 25 years ago). Does that come under that category and needs to be mentioned?

My moms dad .
He passed away a long time ago , but was born in 1894

Hi Members

I am filling out forms for sponsoring my mom and dad. I made my mom principal applicant. she is here on super visa so it is easier to fill forms with her. now I have a problem.
On my birth certificate, her name is written as : Bhupider Kaur
Her passport has: Bhupinder Jeet Kaur Sindhar (with middle and surname)
My Indian passport says: Bhupinder Jit Kaur Sindhar (I have Canadian passport now so I think it shouldn't be an issue as it doesn't mention mothers name)

Now I think I can attach one and same person affidavit to clear things out. BUT please help me
Question 1: Who needs to make this certificate- Me or my Mom? or Both of us make separate affidavit

Question 2: My mom is here in Canada right now. Can she just make Affidavit from here ? or she needs to get it made from India only [ I know for attested document copies, they need it attested from country document is issued from. But what about affidavit?]

NO you cannot do it that way.Your parents have to courier it back after sign it.
