I called, they said that we are working on your application here in Sydney and they will transfer afterwards and from there it will be quicker, but no update. It has been more than 2 months for me after SA.
We are doomed man. People from January are still waiting for file transfer, processing is far after that.
What have we done to deserve London visa office?
Just the additional “we started processing....” line appeared on PA side in ECAS.
Little further info on PA, I lived in Canada for four years on a working holiday permit where I met my wife. Visa was expiring so we both moved over here (Aus) last year while we got our application together and the application was being processed.
I don’t really know but I imagine that helped speed up background checks...
Oh! Congrats!!! We’re the exact same application but sent one week earlier. Partner is Australian and we met while he was living in Canada for 4 years. Now we’re both in Aus for him to apply for Canadian PR. The only difference I see is our app was transferred to the Sydney Australia office not
Mississauga. And the Sydney office requested an FBI check since he worked at Summer camps in the US for a couple summers. Hopefully this means ours will come soon
Again, congrats! You can make it for Canadian summer woooo
Hi guys
I am the sponsor and i was not a representative on the file.
I linked the application to my account (Sponsor) succesfully.
Then when i tried communicating with IRCC thru webform one month ago, they advised i am not representative on file even when i am the sponsor, and if I would like to get more info, the proncipal applicant should appont me as a representative.
Which we did today, and we send the use of repre form theu IRCC online webform, being appointed for my wife as unpaid representative..
My question is, would that affect any processing? And for my previously linked application to my account, will it keep working or it will be removed automatically from mu account? Because afyer submitting the form i found on cic website that if u r unpaid rep u wont be able to link application. But sonce my application was linked already previously?
I am now worried and dont know if they will keep sending messages on our online linked account or they will cancel it and send by mail to sponsor?
Any help please, if someone was appointed as his spouse unpaid representative? He gets all communication online thru linked account or not? Thanks in advance a lot..
We had a small church wedding and got a marriage certificate in 2017.Then we had big white wedding last year december 2018.My question is, Does the number of years after marriage affect the application in anyway.Like us, we only have one year from our first church small wedding.and only 3 months from the big wedding.
2.We do not have any children or adopted any yet, so on the dependants section in the generic application do we just leave it blank.?
cool, was just looking for a rough estimate from people that have that answer for me, the 12 month processing is known but it is also known to be a lot quicker judging everything goes smoothly.

I would say on average 2 months after VO starts processing application - given no excessive ADRs and/or interview is needed. But would largely depend on your VO. Where was your file transferred? Maybe you can join the VO thread.
My husband's US visa application was just rejected. Our Canada PR application was sent in Feb and I have been approved as a sponsor and he has completed biometrics and medical.
He applied for the US visa in April i.e. after we submitted our PR app. So, in the PR app, we had put that he has never been denied a visa to any country, which was true then.
