There are only 20,000 spots available. They have asked for about 26,600 applications meaning they EXPECT that no more than 20,000 eligible people will make the cut or even apply. But there is no official assurance that all those in the 20,001 to 26,600 category will be approved. Highly likely but no guarantee.

They invited 26628 applications, they will receive all application and put in process immediately but the visa for those from 20001 and later will not be finalized till next year if all cap for this year is reached. Rather inviting those next year they invite all this year but will issue visa on order of receipt of EOI. Some people may see that their processing is slower than others as they maybe in for quota next year.

Do i have to fill out the ADDITIONAL DEPENDENTS ( IMM00008DEPENU ) form if i am only sponsoring my Mother and she do not have any dependents. My father passed away in 1991 and i dont have any siblings

the guide says "Complete the Additional Dependents/Declaration (IMM 0008DEP) if more than five accompanying or non-accompanying family members exist"

I am sponsoring my parents and my father is the main applicant.
My mother will be depended but she is currently sick and she is not in physical or mental capacity ( and will not get better ) to sign the following forms :
IMM5669 Schedule A – Background/Declaration
IMM 5406 Additional Family Information

Can my father sign of her behave as her next of kin, or fingerprint her instead of signing, or just leave it blank?
We do not have a power of attorney and she can not give consent
I was thinking to drop her of the application but either way, she needs to be included in the application
Please help

Always Include sponsored person in "family size" calulation. See guide.

Hi, just had a call with a IRCC agent. he says the family size on the column of employment history table should be 3 ( me , spouse and kid ) . but it should be 4 on the 1st page of the form ( 5768 - financial evaluation for parents ) where it asks for the number of persons sponsored and undertaking etc.

can anyone confirm this ?

So when you are checking it on ecas, do you put your sponsor’s uci number or principal applicant? My father is outside canada so he doesnt have uci number

Hi All,
I sent the complete application to CIC but forgot to include a copy of the invitation letter in the package. I realized this mistake and sent the letter separately the very next day and also sent CPC-Ottawa an email explaining the situation.

Is there anything else I should be doing at this point? Any advice is appreciated.

I was told by IRCC agent to include sponsored persons.
They are trying to align NOA line 150 with the family size to check eligibility.

we sent it on Tuesday and it was delivered on Wednesday morning with a signature.
