Hello guys I am going to sponsor my parents from India and my dad gives thumb impression and he don’t sign the documents does he need to notarized the documents or without notarized only thumb impression will be fine. Any help will be appreciated.
It is the most common reason why people got their application rejected and returned! How do they know when the photo taken and who is the photographer and if the person on photo is real or if it was taken a few years ago?
It must be taken by commercial photographer on your country where the back the photographer must write details in it or stamped it
Form 5669 Schedule A Background form,
Q4: Have you or if you are the principal applicant, any of your family members listed in your application for pr in canada ever;
d) .......been refused visitor visa ......
If sister (25 years) who was refused visitor visa last year, the answer to this question should be yes?
Your sister is 25 .. and she is not dependent.. and you didn't add her in this application.
Read the question carefully :- It says any of your family member listed in PR application
If your sister is not in this application , then you dont have to mention anything about her

Thanks for responding but different answers. I am confused
The question is clearly stated.
If she is added as dependent in the application then you will click YES.
If she is not part of the application then NO.
IRCC wants to make sure if any of applicant in your application has been refused in the past or not.
Hi
I received invitation to sponsor. Just need help regarding filling some forms if anyone preparing the file perself.
I am not sure about schedule A background declaration form . I am sponsoring my parents both mother and father so I filled this for them . Do I have to fill it for my brother and sister too ? They are above 18 years of age and both in canada . They are not in dependent category but the form says fill the form for dependent children aged 18 years or older
If your brother or sister is 18-21 then they have to fill the form. They can only be considered dependent if they are under 22. Or can be over 21 if they meet certain conditions. 18-21 is no longer a minor so they have to fill their own forms and sign on their own. Like my sister who is 18, she is a dependant, she has to sign on her own and my mom can no longer sign on her behalf cause she's considered adult now. So your siblings don't need to do the forms cause they're not dependent children and not included in the application. But they will have to be in additional family information form.

I don't have a birth certificate. It was never issued to me. I have couple of questions and seeking advice
I have a copy of my surrendered Indian passport where the name of my mother is mentioned whom I am sponsoring.
Her name is not same as on my surrendered passport as her name on her valid passport. My moms middle name & surname is mentioned on my surrendered passport which is not same as what she has on her valid passport.
I spoke to consulate & they can make a certificate of birth but, with the details as on my surrendered passport which I think will not suffice. Also it will take 6 weeks and I think it will be too tight for submission.
I am thinking of writing a LOE and attaching the copy of my surrendered passport to prove my parentage. She has been visiting me for 7 years and I am hoping the CIC will have her records as my mother.
Is there anything else that I can do. My last resort will be to see if processing officer raises any concern to go for a DNA.

Affidavit from your side for birth certificate, Letter of explanation, copy of any educational certificate where name of your mom is listed. I don't think IRCC will request any DNA test.
