Inland Landing Interview from Vancouver Office: waiting time

You might want to call and check to see why they didn't send you the DM letter.

I just called CIC today and ask them what's going on.
He told me Vancouver Office is THREE MONTHS behind.

If your Landing Interview letter haven't received after three months.
We need to call them and see what went wrong.

I called as well today and got the same answer.

But from their tone I think it's more an "up to three months" in general without specifically referring to one office. It's more of a diplomatic reply I guess.

Three months is such a joke. When we first submit our applications, CIC can see where we live and should be updating the VO of files that are near completion so that they can plan for interviews MONTHS AHEAD. It doesn't take a genius.

I'll be waiting half the time that it took to process my application just for an interview, yet my friend who is in Toronto landed within 2 weeks of her landing email and got her PR card expedited so that she could attend her mother's wedding.

I start understand why people hate refugees so much now. They pretty much get instant approval and all the benifts. I'm not racist or discriminate against anyone. It's just unfair for us to go through all this process

So, this Vancouver office is really abusing people and destroying people's lives.
My application has a status of a decision made since January 4, 2019, and my overseas spouse got a PR Visa in her passport which is expiring at the end of June since my medical is expiring. Now I have sent them 4 emails, called twice, opened two case-specific enquiries, even went to the local MP office for assistance. Still no response, no information, no CoPR no landing appointment. And here I am now, stressing every day. My spouse is expring pretty soon and they do want to do anything about this. She quit her job, left the apartment back home and now her visa will expire because of some morons in the Vancouver office that do not want to do their job. Over 4months wait and still no information if they will call me. I regret that applied to be a PR in this country. In a 3rd world country, you will get a better service. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT DO TO NEXT...It seems easier to get to the Pope than to these clowns in that office.

I don't think it's a matter of what refugees are entitled to, their situations are different than most of ours. It's just VERY poor planning on CIC's part.

Thankfully, I was able to reenter Canada after having to leave for that funeral.

I can't believe I still haven't heard anything though.

I will be 10 weeks waiting on Monday and I need to leave the country in 10.5 weeks!

Congratulations. I thought u were waiting for landing interview date? How did u get it done so fast? When did u get the interview e mail? Just asking if there is another option for us

I didn’t e mail them. I called call center and rep said that its been way longer than processing time so he forwarded message to vancouver office.
