I just received this response. Can someone please tell me what it means. It's been more than 6 months (219 days) already. My eligibility is already met and only security and criminality has not yet started. So where is it stuck. Any help would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately at this time we are not able to determine when your application will be finalized, but our office will contact you as soon as all verifications are completed, or if any additional information or documents are required.
I received same additional verification mail and I just got off the phone from speaking to an agent. He said the only update available is same as was sent to me "verification in progress" and I need to wait it out. AOR Oct 31. This is exhausting!
Same thing I initially got when my application went beyond the 6-month mark. I was actually told due to the backlog, mine might even be delayed till September. I didn’t give up. I kept calling the agents every week, and finally got my PPR 2 days ago. So don’t pay so much attention to it. Just keep reaching out to them weekly, and I’m sure you’ll be all sorted out in no time. Thank you! I reqlly hope you're right. I have already completed 7 months and on my 8th right now. Im worried that since I received this email today that it might go beyond a year. Is that a possibility? Especially since the agents on the phone keep telling me that everything looks good and no additional docs required.. then I receive this shocking email today not from the regular cic email address but from cpc Ottawa. I don't know what step to take next. Any advice for me??
