I was asked last week and I sent it in yesterday. Had some issues with the other docs they requested for but I added an LOE to explain

Good, at least there are working on applications. It's been quiet since January.
Is there a difference between paper and electronic form?

My goodness! So now it takes 10 months for applications in Ottawa office? Mine is in Ottawa and it indeed has no activity.

Just got off the call with IRCC.

1. Processing office is OTTAWA.
2. The agent mentioned that new timeline for completion of the processing is Sept 2019 and asked to call back post sept 2016.

Did anyone also had the same conversation and is it true that the process will be delayed by 5 more months. This is kinda ridiculous. They are taking almost 10 months to process an application.

Can anyone let me know if they have been told the same thing and is there anyone who has OTTAWA office and has seen some movement in the status?

As per them apart from Medical (Passed) nothing has started for my application.

My goodness! So now it takes 10 months for applications in Ottawa office? Mine is in Ottawa and it indeed has no activity.

I do not believe that it will take as much as 10 months for all the applications. I made a check on ghe tracker by VO and found that the average is within the 6 months for Ottawa VO or Sydney CIO. Exceptions can happen for sure, for better delays or for longer depending on the security phase. I wish that within few days we all will receive ppr and finish this madness of waiting. Hold on, stay positive and optimistic.

Nopes.. I filed my application through consultant. I asked her if its ok to call them (canada immigration office) but she said its good if we call only after the processing time has completed (1 june for me).

I found this on this forum itself :
*Calling CIC - steps*

1- *CIC call centre*
+16139444000

2- English *press 1*

3- immigration *press 1*

4- transfer to citzship and imm can processing application *press 1*

5- status or processing times *press 1*

6- become permanent resident *press 2*

7- application starts with E *press 2*

8- then enter *application number* followed by #

9- listen to the entered number and *press 1* to confirm

10- enter the *year of birth* and then listen the entered number and *press 1* to confirm

11- hear the details

12- then *press 1* to check status (there will be a pause)

13- hear detailed status at the end *press 0* to speak to agent

I never pressed 0 to speak to agent.

Agree Its completely a personal choice.
One can always go for the call if he/she wants to.
