Hi guys. Dec 3 applicant. I just revived message on my CIC account. It said "Eligibility Passed".
And in latter says: “It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class."
Just wondering what exactly is this? AIP?

You said you were in the same status as me but they aren't the same. My app was received by CIC 3 months ago; January 31st

i was thinking like that but since I called them today I got assured I don’t have notes on my application which means it’s good in time wise
Since your 2nd time OWP application got submitted a week before mine means the timeline can be same I mean we can get approvals after each other,since your review has started hopefully you get good news soon and I can expect too soon after yours

Yes I hope so. But if you don't have any status your OWP won't process until AIP. Are you out of status or you sent OWP while you had status?

I sent my application while being in status and I’m still in status.
im on ETA which means after six months of eta I will be on implied status?

You will be on implied status if you sent your PR / OWP while with valid status.

If you get OWP soon(hopefully!) you will get a fresh new temporary status valid for length of work permit.

Remember ETA is not status, it is authorization to travel to canada; if you entered with passport and it wasn't stamped, you have 6 months from date of entry

I just found you were in same situation like mine, I resent my owp and still waiting for it, I am still on status but it will ends on June 4th, I'm assuming you never get the OWP and I would like to know, did you ask for visitor extension? So I don't know if ask for that extension a month prior expiration or wait? Thanks in advance.

My BGC started April 1, so it’s been a months

I just found you were in same situation like mine, I resent my owp and still waiting for it, I am still on status but it will ends on June 4th, I'm assuming you never get the OWP and I would like to know, did you ask for visitor extension? So I don't know if ask for that extension a month prior expiration or wait? Thanks in advance.

Yea, I didn’t receive anything about my OWP yet. I called them to ask if I need to restore my status us my student permit expired on March 31, agent told me I’m good because I applied while a had valid status so I’m on implied status rn.
I think you should be good as well as you applied while on status.

Hi guys,

My PR timeline update :

Application Received : 5 Dec 2018
PR link : 30 Jan 2019
AOR : 30 Jan
MR : 7 Feb
Medical done : 11 Feb
Medical Passed : 17 Feb
BGC started : 17 April
Eligibility passed : 30 April ( sponsor got email, PA got message on GCkey )

Finally slow & steady wins the race
It means resubmitted applications take approximately 3 months to get approved,which gives us a hope that ours is on the way,hopefully by the end of next week.
I know ETA is just an travel authorization,just in case if I didn’t get approval within the remaining time of six months,do I need to apply for something or I will be still on implied status since i applied within six months of period?

That's the tricky thing, you are all good with status as long as you are approved the work permit which usually you do unless you are inadmissible or something but you are already in Canada. When does it expire again?

I will complete my six months mid May and ETA expires after 2 years
But your approval gave me so much hope,my expectations are really high now lol
