Is bio-metric fee mandatory to be paid along with other fees?

Hi there:

Just a quick question for the Generic Application. I am sponsoring both parents - mom and dad. Should there be 2 application forms? and 2 of the other forms as well? Like the Application to sponsor, financial evaluation etc?

For the question below I put 2 is this correct? or should I put 4 (my mom, dad, my husband (co-signer and I)
How many family members, including you, are included in this application?

Should there be 2 principal applicants? one for my mom and one for my dad?

I have query below:
My mother name in her passport: Kantaben Patel
In the Interest to sponsor form: Kantaben Patel
But in my birth certificate (sponsor birth certificate that has to attached), mother name is: Kanta Patel

I am wondering would CIC allow above discrepancy? If not, what other documents that I need to attached to prove that its same person (Kantaben Patel and Kanta Patel)

I have posted this earlier wondering any suggestions \ thought process?

Hi! Anybody doing the sponsorship from Quebec? I need some to know which one to do first. IRCC first, then when approved to become a sponsor, apply for CSQ and undertaking to MIDI? Or apply for CSQ and undertaking to MIDI first, wait for the result then send all together to IRCC? Thank you.

Quote this post (you can keep just the template in the quote and delete the rest) so that I get a notification because there are already over 50 pages since invitations started going out.

All times in eastern time. Include EST/EDT or just ET in your time so that we know that's the time you're providing.
13:05 format for all times. Not 1:05, 1.05 or 13.05.
Apr 1, 2019 format for all dates.

Invitations will be the only one where date and time are both relevant.
If you're already in the tracking sheet, no need to repeat of course, just use the invitation line.

Is anyone having problems with the Schedule A/Background form? It will not validate with the correct information I have. The personal history section had given me grief for the last two hours.

The From and To fields are highlighting as inaccurate. I've tried two computers now. Maybe the form itself is messed up?

When we submit interest to sponsor our parents back in January 2019. the form said it only include

- yourself
- your spouse or common law partner
- your dependent children
- your spouse’s or partner’s dependent children, and
- any other person you and your co-signer may have sponsored in the past, for whom you are still financially responsible

But according to the link below, it said different. So I'm a bit confused too.

I checked the different between the two links, one is
How many family members are currently in your family unit? and another is
How to calculate the family size? I can't remember the exactly question in the interest form. Could you?

Hey there I haven't validated mine just yet but wondering if you could assist with a question I have since we are from the same country. I am sponsoring my mom and day. Do you know if I should just have one complete the generic application form and include the other as a dependant on the form or should they do 2 generic application for each being the principal applicant? Thanks so much

Hello Fellow Immigrant Canadians!

I have a question on Minimum Necessary Income (MNI) for Parent's PR Sponsorship and hoping someone in this forum can help with it.

I have received an invitation to apply for my Parent's PR in 2019. I am able to meet the MNI for 2018 and 2017. However, for 2016 I am unable to meet the MNI for 4 people of $58,768 as I landed in Canada in April 2016 and have worked only from June to December, thereby my Income for the year is only for 6 months. I do have Income while I was working in the US from Jan to March 2016.

Question: Does CRA/IRCC recognize the US Income in 2016, while I was not a resident of Canada, which would increase my total 2016 income to meet the MNI?

Once your sponsorship application has been sent to IRCC, prepare your undertaking application in advance, including the application for the sponsored person’s selection certificate with all required documents, so that you are ready to send it to MIDI as soon as you receive an invitation from IRCC to proceed.

Can't we just provide written explanation along with the copy of our passport with Parents name endorsed on the same.

Well passport do not carry their Medan names and date of marriage. So IRCC want to have a legal document in this case. Affidavit is kind of legal oath.
