I’m CEC/PNP inland and I plan to travel outside of Canada. My application has 15 days to est completion date but who knows if it takes longer.
My travel plan is the last week of May. So I wonder if you received PPR, how long do they request you to send your passport in?

If you luckily receive your ppr, you have 30 days to send your passport to cic office as mentioned in the letter. After 3-4 days, your online application will change to Approved. Finally, cic office will send back your passport few days after. Keep this in mind, you may see delay due ti factors like holiday, non-working weekend, shipping delay, etc.
Unfortunately you just have to wait. I sent my passport on 4/8 and my status still has not updated yet. Most people got approved in 5-10 days though, and then another 2-3 days for it to be sent out.

I got PPR on 04/09 and sent my passport to CPCO on 04/15 which reached on 04/16. I’ve sent all the necessary documents (customs invoices, return label, photos etc.) but I was under the impression that CPCO will send my passport in a new envelope. Should I have sent a return envelope?
I know the request letter mentions a pre-paid return envelope but I thought that the return label would suffice, which I confirmed with the FedEX associate.
Please advise on the next steps I should take.

I did sent out a letter size pre-paid Xpresspost which I bought from Canada post. I didn’t know how much did it cost, total I paid for 2 envelopes ( 1 big and 1 small one) was almost 32 bucks after tax.
Before sending out the package, you need to write down tracking number of each envelope. When your package arrive in IRCC office, they will do necessary steps and update your profile online within a week ( if you are lucky ), in this stage your online application will change to “ Approved “.
Keep this in mind : The returned package will only be activated after IRCC staff sends it to Canada Post.
