Just a question, Do we have the right to complain about our increasing processing time line of QSW FEDERAL STAGE? Because when I applied in QSW Federal stage. the processing time was just 16 months and now it turns 20 months.

It should be who passed their application the same month the timeline was increased should be getting 20months not the ones who submitted earlier right?

Cause I just checked if you havent applied yet youll get 15-17 months, and who applied 20 months? Even when I applied before it was just 16 months. Isn’t a form of cheating! It’s crazy & frustrating.

Hello Friends

There is nothing new in progress bar. They have simply added 20 months from receipt of your application date. This is not useful. They are wasting their and our time. Instead of making and thinking about progress bar they should have spent their energy to curtail the overall time of 20 months. It will help the newcomers and the canadian economy both.

One more thing which comes to my mind. Why they are taking 20 months once we received CSQ. Quebec government have already gave the permission and they have checked and verified each and every criteria of immigrant. They should grant us visa within 6 months. What is federal government is processing for 20 months??

Two reasons I can think of.

1. New CAQ Quebec government has cut down annual intake quota for immigrants ( According to Canada Quebec Accord) . So it makes Federal to issue PR to less number of people per year under QSW category. Because of quota cuts, there will be backlogs like 20 months and it might even increase too.

2. Federal govt. focusing only on speeding up Express Entry processing time and diverting resources for that. So other types of paper based applications will see increased delays.

I don't think I'll get an estimated bar, because I have a representative. That's my second GCMS note, but the first one was on time.

I send them on 15.11.2017
