Were you aware of your status before this? It would make sense to say you are in "IP2" if they had not reviewed your eligibility till now. In case your eligibility/criminality was met before the status change, you are much closer to PPR as they may have started with Security.
It can also be a ghost update! Many are getting PPR without knowing of any specific progress in the application. So, best to say, you are closer to PPR than before .

I have got a request for remedicals. However, i am travelling and will only return in three weeks. Can i retake my medicals then? How much time am i given to submit the new results. Do i need to contact ircc?

My criminality was progress and eligibility was under review. Not sure about the background check. Strange it seems most people know when they reach IP2. I guess I'm not as clued up as to how to tell the statuses I can call to ask after Easter
