I often hear "GTA is a big city, maybe they lack resources". However, we paid for the application so it's not a free process.
Lots of people/application in the GTA means lots of money too. So they should use the money to properly staff their offices or hire competent people

Yes I agree, with the MONEY PART. Excessive contact would only frustrate you; not them!!? They would just sit on your file and you’d not know a thing. I want you to become a citizen and not disappoint yourself believing everything they’d tell you. I wish you well!

Agreed with money scenario but just like taxes which are collected majorly from urban areas but will be spent in rural areas as well. Mississauga office i dont know what happened only reason i can think of is when the rules changed in 2017 there was huge number of people in mississauga office vicinity who became eligible all of sudden but IRCC i guess wasnt ready for this. Reason it got clogged. Now for east end of GTA including east toronto is dealt by Scarborough office which has no backlogs and november 2018 applicants are reporting taking oath very next day of test there. And some cases got transferred from mississauga to Scarborough which they r trying to process so just sit tight in few more months they will catch up once they get through those huge volume months
