When should I expect to hear something, what is kind of time frame that I will see a update?

Waiting for a response for the above quesrions. I wanted to add that the application has been forwarded to London Visa Office. I tried the online cic account (with GCKey) but don't see an option to upload the use of representative form.

Use IRCC Web form to upload IMM-5476 Use of Representative form. You will fill out the applicant and sponsor info on first page then click next and upload Use of Representative form on the next page.

How is the visa office determined.
My dad spends the summers with us in Canada on a super visa and when I applied last year, he was still here. I used my home address in Mississauga as his home address. He carries a Pakistani passport.
Could anybody guide which VO is his application likely to go to?
it has been over six months for my application and it is radio silence - not even "in process" :-(

there are lots of People before you , a year or sometimes two!! for the London Visa Office.

I believe this will go to Ottawa because you applied in Canada and at the time of application, your father was in Canada. So, the application will be considered as an In-Canada application.

I have the same situation but they send the file in the Rome visa office unfortunately

got medical passed on march 21 and just one hour ago, got the ready for visa email, i check the ecase there is still "in process"

Answer to your question is stated in the second AOR that I received from the London VO:

"The IRCC Office in London is a large office responsible for 17 countries in three different regions (the British Isles and Nordic Countries, the Gulf, and Pakistan and Afghanistan). Due to the volume of applications we receive it may be a few months before we start active processing of your application."

This implies that determination of the visa office is based on the home country, not on the basis of applicant's 'Present Address'.

I sent an email to London visa office 2 weeks back, and waiting for their response.
Application received date is April 27, 2018, so 9 months have already passed.
Auto reply says they will reply within 28 days.

As per the 2018 spreadsheet, a couple of March applicants have received some correspondence form the London (Medical reqs, PCCs, etc.).
Per that Stats, you may be the contacted soon for the same.
