Hello,
I submitted a request to change the mailing address to Abu Dhabi visa office (mentioned in CSQ section 17), and I got the following reply:
Dear Applicant,
This is in response to your recent email enquiry.
Please contact the office where you applied for any case specific enquiries. Our files do not show an active application at the Embassy of Canada in Abu Dhabi.
Shall I submit the request to Nova Scotia office, where I sent the file?
My timeline is as follows:
App. Received: 7 November 2018
AOR: 26 January 2019
Maybe yes, since your application must be still with Nova Scotia and it might not have transferred to local visa office yet. You can raise a web form for your query. This should help you with the next actionable.
Thanks.
Hi everyone! I got my CSQ last September and I applied for my PR on paper in last October. It has been 6 months and I havent got any emails from CIC. I have been trying to link my paper application to my CIC account and it cannot find my application either. Is anyone on the same boat with me? I will call CIC this Friday and try to find out what is going on. I am getting a little anxious right now.
Have you got your UCI? If not, then I am not sure how you are trying to link your paper application. If yes, then there are two ways to check the status:
1. You can log in to CIC ECAS, punch in your UCI, DOB, Country of Birth, Last name and track status.
2. If I am not wrong you are trying to link your application through GC_key, which is a tedious process in itself. You will have to use multiple permutation and combinations to see which combination of your credentials are able to search your application in the database. Please bear in mind, use spellings exactly what is mentioned on your passport (especially spaces). I can guarantee that if you follow these steps, you will be definitely able to link your application in GCKey, unless you have appointed a representative to your file, which you will have to withdraw in order to have your GCKey linked to your application.
Hope this helps.
Dear adeboyeadejobi and all my other friends
I received my PPR email the golden email as we all love to call it on April 1st. Finally after a wait of more than 7 years my journey for PR comes to a positive conclusion.
I want to sincerely thank all those who have supported me in this journey. The support at times has come through information while at times through moral support, tremendous moral support. There have been occasions in my journey wherein I had almost taken a decision to withdraw my application however the support from the members on this forum has stopped me from taking that decision.
My request to you all is have patience. The CSQ process can literally be tormenting at times but with patience and support from the members on this forum each one can and will sail through successfully.
I could not come back to the forum as I got busy in some immediate things like passport submission and all. Plus my family and I had to overcome the feeling of being overwhelmed. The atmosphere in the house for the last three days was more like Diwali, Christmas, Eid or any other happy festival you celebrate in your country.
Once again friends, thank you so much for all the help. I will be here and happy to help anyone who has any specific questions. God Bless you all.
Regards,
Rahul (My real name)

Congrats
let us know when you land and how it is !
Don’t forget that voltage is 120v, check your electronic stuffs if you are bringing some. I bought a beard trimmer rated 100v - 240v so I can bring it over...my nespresso is 220V unfortunately
! Also, buy your winter clothes in canada , they are cheaper, warmer and saves space in your luggages!
That's great that your ECAS now has at least started showing 'In Process', maybe because you got biometrics request. My file received date is 11th Oct 2018 and it still says 'Application Received'. I am just hoping that it changes soon to In Process so that I can assure myself of some traction in my case. On the other hand, I somehow feel that status changes only when you get some communication from their side as they request for medicals, landing fee, PCC, etc. If that's true, then I guess my status will only change when I receive Medical Request.
This is absolutely confusing and tests your patience to heights.
Thanks.
Ertarun, You applied by yourself or agency? In any case, pay your landing fees and link it to your application. After 1 year of “application received” I think maybe the payment triggered the processing. Btw, CIC replied that the payment has been received and that the medical request will be sent in due course.
Great, good luck with the updates to follow.
See above
Hearty congratulations... Mr. Rahul
All the best for the journey ahead...
Thank you so much. And it is Rahul my dear Farhanali123, not Mr. Rahul. We are all friends sailing in the same boat. All the best to you!
Congraulation Rahul
All the best for your bright future.
Thank you so much a_pritesh. All the best to you too!

Dear adeboyeadejobi,
I am truly humbled by your wishes, although I was just doing what everyone would do to help anyone else in the journey. And I promise I will continue to do so in the future. May be here, may be on some other platform, but I will be there for anyone who needs any help. I too wish the best in life for you and your family. I am sure we will cross paths some day and that day will come soon!

I applied through an agency and my application does have a representative. I paid landing fees upfront while submitting the application. Ideally, Medical Request should be the next phase. I only check application status through ECAS. I don't want to remove representative as only after that I can link my application to GCKEY.
Thanks
Tarun.
Thanks ertarun. Your contribution in my journey has been absolutely significant. I am forever indebted to you.
Come on, you can pay that debt back by receiving me at the airport, once I am there.
