Hello, everyone! My application is in PVO since April, 2018. IP2 since 18 August, 2018. Medicine expired in January. Last month I knew that i am on security screening since august 2018. Due date was 29 March, 2019. Yesterday there was ghost update in my profile. Do you have any ideas?
we are in same boat my parents ss also started in july 2018 and still in process around 10 monts we are in ss.
Congratulations
so is it true tht ppl who have given biometrics have shorter security screening ? My security screening started on 14 nov .. is it uselful to order cbsa notes ? Will they tell something
I'm not sure if biometrics applicants have a shorter timeline. I have not seen anymore cases except mine yet.
If you know your security screening started on 14th Nov, then there's no point in ordering CBSA notes. However, if you aren't sure about SS then you must order and you'll get to know yes or no. Just my assumption
Thanks!
Full timeline in my signature except the PPR date.
Ordered GCMS in Dec which showed all passed and security status blank. Also, I could see that the security info was missing with s(15) mentioned on the top of the security page.
Ordered CBSA notes in Feb, received in March which showed I am under comprehensive security screening since 8th Nov.
I stopped following up and checking my account regularly. And when I woke up today to turn my alarm off, I saw this golden email which made my day
Best wishes, one question from where you ordered your CBSA notes?

What's the time constraint of knowing whether one is in SS or not? After how many days or months it is safe to assume that one is under comprehensive SS? My background check started on 25th Feb, 2019, and Security is still ongoing. On the other hand my Medicals, Eligibility and Criminality is all Passed.
I received a copy of my CBSA notes and it showed that my application was sent in for security screening which commenced in August 2018 and ended sometime in March (6-7months). So general if your security check exceeds 3 - 4 months, it could be a sign that the application has been sent in for security screening.
in my CBSA notes under the heading of Admissibilites the following are showing

No. When I requested for a copy of my CBSA note, in the security section, it showed that my security check was created August 17, 2018
Updated August 20, 2018
Due Date: August 15, 2019.
However, my security screening was done in March 2019. My file got approved on March 27 and I received my PPR email today. The due date in my opinion, is the due date is more like a deadline for them to complete. They could complete it way earlier than that. It could also take longer than the due date if things get complicated.

Thanks alot. In regards to your question, there was a ghost update on my cic account on that date and given that my security had been on going for a while, I knew that an update had been made, so I called IRCC two days later to ask what the update was all about and after verification, the agent told me that a decision was made. My application was approved. I hope that answers the question you asked

Wow. So it's possible that SS can start before MEP? Wow wow
I really should order cbsa cbsa notes to know when mine really started because I'm going off of the last update on my profile.

Technically, it shouldn't be but based on my CBSA notes, they received my file on August 17 and started my security check in the last week of August. What's your AOR? Cos it's usually better to order CBSA if you security has exceeded 5months. If it's just commencing when, you won't get much info

were you asked to give Biometrics anytime during your process?
