@Another-Immigrant they should not have problems. IRCC evaluates the situation and they will determine if the medical costs will exceed the threshold value or not which is $20517 CAD for 2019
Please check Excessive Demand section in the page below
Great information. I had visited the site and found there can be two reasons
Your condition is considered to cause an excessive demand if:
the health or social services needed to treat your health condition would negatively affect wait times for services in Canada, or
the services needed to treat and manage your health condition would likely cost more than the excessive demand cost threshold
I heard there is longer wait time for Knee replacement, at least in Ontario. I am not sure how IRCC consider if knee replacement is required in coming years. But yes, not required for now.
I have called IRCC today morning and they confirmed I have been approved as a sponsor.
Also for those who have already did biometric before, you could submit that through IRCC webform. Apparently their data base is not automatically connected. I just sent that today and I will let you guys know anytime I hear back from them.
I was told that I should wait for medicals and they are doing the background check at the moment. But the background check does not mean PCC request yet
yeah, my mother. She has had quite grave sport injury on her knee which exasperated to the point of needing artificial knee. Her both knees are messed up though and she cant walk or sit for very long time. She received PPR already. Nobody even asked anything about her knees during the medicals. I think they are more concerned with infections diseases, cancers, high blood pleasure and the like.
My parents file was received on 13 Sept 2018 from the 2018 second draw.Till now application number is not generated, any one in similar condition?
Any guess what might be the outcome?
Hi,
When was initial IME done? My father also did that sputum test and as per the clinic results will be after 8-10 weeks. He was advised to do repeat chest xray 3months after initial IME.
Your VO is manila? I’ve been chasing missing correspondence on my mom’s account. My file was initially at mississauga then transferred to Ottawa as written on my Sponsorship Approval letter. When I called ircc, i was told the file is now being processed in Manila office. I sent an email to manila and they replied back saying it’s being processed in Mississauga. I’m now actually lost.

I just want to share my good news. Ready for visa e-mail was received yesterday (April 2). I'm on line 11. The letter came to my (sponsor and representative) e-mail. I do not know when decision was made, but most likely on April 1 as the last time I checked was at the end of last week and the status was "in process" now it is "decision made". The file was processed in Ottawa, but the e-mail asks to report any delays with sending docs to the visa section of the Embassy in my parents country. They gave 60 days to submit docs: the letter, passports, photos and info re eyes color and height for my parents.
The notes on file indicate that they were doing background since the end of August 2018 (7 months).
I'd like to thank everyone here for being such a great support for each other and YULIA-2016 for keeping track of eveyone's progress and wish everyone to receive the ready to visa letter soon. It guarantees you a sleepless night because of all the excitement and worries about planning your next steps (getting visa, landing), but it is worth it.
