Canadian address because most of the communication is through emails so we put Canadian address. And yes file get transferred to India in the last step before they request for passport and still they don’t send any physical documents because all the communication is through email.

Now I REALLY have to travel to buffalo for 2 hours and get gas filled up

did you apply for parent's sponsorship?When?If yes are your parents here in a visa?Does the letter states that you have to give the biometrics outside of Canada

It'll just update on GCKEY stating passed and ECAS will change to 'Medical results have been received', unfortunately there's no email sent out to alert you so it's a case of refreshing (Like we all already do )

Refreshing would save the time. Sometimes, one just does not realize simple thing...

I had a word with the Call Centre Agent ...Baed on him files trasnferred to Mississauga then they analyse and if they feel it is Straightforward , Non Complicated case ...They will give COPR from Mississauga only

POE is only eligible for first-time applicants of Study/Work Permit. I'll be going to other countries VAC.

In the letter it states:

Note: If you received this letter you must give your biometrics before coming to Canada and are not eligible to have your fingerprints and photograph taken at a Canadian port of entry. If you are already in Canada, you will have to leave the country to provide your biometrics.

Hi! I have payed for the biometrics on March 5th and on March 7th I received the reception of payment but nothing since then and the last day for biometrics to be submitted is April 4th .

Anyone in the same situation? Why it takes so long...should I reach out to them already? Thanks!

1. In case we have given our police certificates from respective country
2. They must be aware of bio metrics as well

Hence we do not need .But i don't think it is correct , Sooner or later I am expecting the Biometrics request

Biometrics is mandatory for PR application.. clearly mentioned on CIC website.

lets say you give ur biometrics, then withdrew the application and then apply for PR again, you will have to do biometrics again..

For most of us it's one year process. You're just 2 months in it, you're already in Mississauga, and you're asking if you need to get GCMS notes and waiting for updates every day just 2 months after you applied. Be patient, sit tight and wait.
