I got a letter last Friday asking me to send in my police check from my country of origin, which I failed to include originally. They gave me a month, but thankfully I had it ready so it was sent on Monday, and received on Wednesday (Canada post xpress took 2 days and 17$ to deliver in the same city !!!). Mycic says they are processing my background check. The cic office my file is at is in Vancouver.

Lucky. I think the background checks for the rest of us that are being processed in Montreal are still stick at "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check."

I’m from Montreal and my background check started in January... Also, my security check is already done...

Wow, nice progress! Where is your app being processed? It will say at the bottom of the correspondence you've received (SA, AIP, etc..)

I haven’t received it yet, but got a ghost update last Monday. I’m October applicant though...

It's honestly incredibly frustrating. Everything was progressing so well for other applicants, I thought for sure we'll also get something soon. But it seems Montreal is in no rush to process our applications!

I never received SA or BGC processing updates so I ended up calling them and asked them where my file is as well.

That's mine situation as well, no background checking or something else. I tried to call them, but a little bit confusion. There are so many number need to choose. Have no idea which ones to pick.

Once the menu asks you to pick, the number options are 2..1..1..0
