Well, if you call their call center on 18882422100 and follow the voice prompt 1 1 2 (permanent residence) 3, and then enter your application number, it'll tell you whether your background check has started or not.
Thanks I did call. background check not done yet so still waiting game.

Does anyone know the answer to this I phoned to get update and it said interview not requests but background check not started can there still be a interview?

As long as you haven't passed the eligibility requirements (I.e receive pre-arrival message) there's always a chance you may be called for an interview at any time. Your current status is as I put it, "current". A final review of your application will determine what's next.
