I am a Kiwi...Working in Sydney since last 6 years....Still planning to move to Canada and live there for few years as I absolutely loved it when I traveled around North America for about 10 months few years ago....
Well I am in same boat as you....I have applied in Nov. and just let it take its time....Once I get it I will decide when I want to move....No harm leaving the application sitting in there...
I don't want it come to the time when they grand the visa and I don't provide document that need and it can be bad so rather get it over so I can have a good sleep if you know what i mean.

Upto you Mate....If you have ordered GCMS notes and nothing is review required then it is just a matter of time before you get PR...if anything is review required then you can provide documentation for that....otherwise your call...
Unfortunately, I was not able to ask if eligibility is in progress or RR. She just said that eligibility has not been met yet and the application is for review. I assume this is related to their response to my previous CSE - my application is in queue for an officer's review.
Im already so anxious and with the delays plus no definite time on when they will give their decision, Im starting to think if moving on with my life or a plan B would be best.
It's your decision and so good luck, mate. But it's quite a pity I think. Because I've heard from people who apply to Australia and USA and the wait and procedures there are even worse.
Srg for the lame question... could you tell me, how do recognize a ghost update in application? i mean did u receive a message in ur account or steps statua changes or anything else? Thanks
I feel you mate, its been almost a year for you in this process - all this waiting and then you see DEC AORs getting PPR while you wait for a small update on your application - really really sucks.
Its true that some people here have waited for years also, but everyone's reason for applying for this Canada PR is different. This 8 month, 1 year, 2 year wait is just not worth it for everyone. To each his own, I guess. All the best.
Hi everyone and good luck with your respective applications. I received my AOR on August 4th but since then my status has not changed from " We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.". And i have passed my medical and background check is in progress.
But this has stayed the same since November. Is this normal?
Any advice? I have just applied for GCMS and have just raised a CSE today. But beyond this is there anything I can do to expidite?
This is the standard status that you get on your account. Try to call IRCC and check what is the exact status if you want . You can also raise a web form (CSE) and ask for some info. Thought the responses to CSEs are mostly generic, there are chances that you might get some info.
Please see my timeline below. This is my first and maybe last post here since my joinery to Canada has come to an end. Thanks everyone for sharing the information on this forum so I can get everything right.

Request to withdraw my application: 04/03/2019 Reason to withdraw:
Over 6 months without any update since Medical Passed on 06/09/2018
The file hasn't been touched since 15/10/2018 according to GCMS note
Very poor experience with the way immigration department handling application by randomly pick & process hence I don't think Canada will be any good for me
I wish all the best to everyone who still waiting for the VISA.
Did I just read what you have written ? You withdrew your appl after making so much effort on getting the MPNP!! I hope you did consult someone before taking this step, cause it doesnt make much of sense to me, sorry to say that. Its a life decision that you take when you decide to immigrate permanently, shouldn't give up so easy. There are many on the forum who waited for more than 3 years to get there application completed.
But its your life and you must have thought through. All the best for the future.
