Mili80, I think that the restrictions on your work permit are standard for all inland spousal OWPs. My husband’s restrictions are as follows:
1. Not authorized to work in childcare, primary/secondary school teaching, health service field occupations.
2. Unless authorized, prohibited from attending any educational institution or taking any academic, professional or vocational training course.
3. Not valid for employment in business related to the sex trade such as strip clubs, massage parlours or escort services.
Again, I don’t think the OWPis reliant on the medical in any way~ the medical is for the permanent residence part of the application.
My bet is that the restriction from working with kids or vulnerable adults (health services) is because OWP holders haven’t yet had their background check done ~ so there is no way of knowing (until this is done) if there is something in the person’s background that would be a red flag for working with kids or people who are elderly/disabled.
I didn't submit medicals upfront, but I did do them and "passed" before my OWP was issued. As a result, I don't have the first restriction listed on my OWP. So it does seem as though they can see that a PR applicant has "passed" medicals, lifting the children and health services restrictions on the OWP.
(And yes, I did submit Schedule A and police certificate upfront, but that's required.......)
The xrays indicated that he has abnormal lobular mass in his lungs. After the MR doctor submitted the info to CIC, they requested a CT scan. We had, of course, already gone ahead with this before the request, so this was available to MR dr. The hold up has been that the MR doctor is given a two week window to upload results each time, so although my husband had the medical in Jan 21, the MY CIC file still reads as a request for MR.[/QUOTE]
Good morning, I signed into my acct this morning only to find a message saying my medical was not submitted. I have an email from the clinic I did my medical saying they had submitted on February 22nd. Pls how do I go about it. Is dere a way to submit it myself because I have a copy of my completed medical form from the clinic.

Hi guys! We also applied for inland spousal sponsorship and OWP in November 2018, got OWP on Feb 27, medical passed on Feb 11th, Background check in progress same date.
Does anyone knows how long it takes until the Sponsor Approval and/or AIP after BGC in progress?
Can I come with my wife who already got the PR to Canada and I have not put myself on the documentation because we weren't married when she got the PR.
If I come with her and start a Inland spousal sponsorship, what documents do I need and whats the whole process? Will I be coming using Foreigner visa or visitor Visa?

I just did a quick Google search and it appears your wife can sponsor you, but she has to be living in Canada, and you outside Canada or legal status to be in Canada. She can only sponsor (if she was granted PR by sponsor program and sponsored more than 5 years ago) Other than that she can sponsor you anytime if she became PR under a different program.
Double check all that, and maybe call IRCC for more information.

Hi Gabe,
I did a small search on the forum for Inland apps from last year and based on that, I got my own a small reference about the time. (Don't take this as a rule. I only tried to build a time reference for our app.)
Really fast response - about 30 days after BG started
Fast/Medium time response - about 60 to 70 days
Normal/Average - 3 to 5 months
