Thanks - did you get a notification message in your GCKey account once the status has changed to passed?

For me my timeline was as follows:
2/25 - Status updated to "reviewing your eligibility"
2/25 - 3-4 hrs later - Status updated to "Approved"
2/26 evening - received 2 separate emails stating I had both an update and a new message in my GCKey account

New message was formal approval letter, and stated that OWP would be mailed to me.

There was no emails or notification stating my application was being reviewed. I had to check myself

Wohoo my OWP has been approved. Just checked GCKey and it says approved, however it says I should check my messages but there is no message?

Yay congrats!!! It took about 24 hours after my husband's OWP was marked as approved on GCKey for the PA to get an email and for the official letter to be uploaded to GCKey.

Can I print the letter out and get my SIN or will I need to wait until I receive the original through the mail?

I'm pretty sure you need the copy sent by mail.The letter clearly states "Please note that this letter is a notification only. It is not valid for travel and is not a permit allowing you to stay in Canada."

Nope! I tried that on Monday and they asked me to come back with the official paper.

My Current work permit is valid till 2021 I selected for OWP. so technically I wasn't supposed to select that but all I am wondering how long is usually till BG check starts ?
And is the PPR the next step after that ?

November 27th- haven't been able to link OWP and still no email or update :-( It seems like everyone in November has gotten their OWP except us :-(

Have you tried calling CiC and checking? Call early in the morning and ask for your OWP application number, that way you can use the automated service to check the status if they can't tell you right there and then

I wouldn't worry if I were you. It can take a few hours to a day for the status to change to approved (and since you got the update towards the end of the working day, it would explain why there hasn't been anything else updated yet).

Have called many times and again this morning....they said in progress and should be done by end of the month (end of March) :-(

So they've given you the application number? You should be able to use option 1 to check the automated status rather than speak to a human
