Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2018

Hi guys. I just upload my parents PCC in GCKEY and they did their medical yesterday too. How long it will take to update the status after that? Plus webform didnt work for some reason so i emailed them too for the PCC just to make sure, i used the email that they provided on Sponsor approval though. Is that the right email?
CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca? I got the letter for the PCC in GCKEY but there is no email provided to send them so i used that instead.

That'd be the address if your LVO is Ottawa. Otherwise, you should send it to your LVO. But, if you have already uploaded PCC in GCKey, you do not need to send a copy via email or webform again. As for medical, it can take from just one day to a few months depending on LVO and your parents' medical conditions. There's no definitive number of days set for medical or pcc review. The general rule is to get PGP applications done within 2 years. Even that can vary depending on the complexity of the application. So, CIC has a lot of latitude to decide on how long it takes to process your file.

You can always guess by looking at the spreadsheet. It's free to guess. So, guess away and have fun playing the waiting game just like the rest of us.

I am sponsoring my parents under PGP 2019 and am just thinking loud. My father worked in the Kuwait and Iraq from 1978-1984. Will he need to get PCC from these counties when we get PCC request letter? If asked for, how will he get these? It may be close to impossible.

If he has been at least 18 year old, he would need. To get PCC, he can apply at his nearest Embassy or consulate of those countries (hopefully in his country of residence).

If he tried and couldn't make it, he can reply to the IRCC request for PCC and explain to them why he is unable to provide it.

Hey.. My status is still Application received for both side. But just 10 minutes before I received an email that I have met the sponsorship.
This refers to the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class you submitted to this office on behalf of XXXXXXX and family (if applicable).


You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded for further processing.

Please be informed that a police check from Canada is not required of the applicant Xxxxx at this present time. An officer will contact you if additional information is in need.​

So you both are right, and if they need the Canadian one, there will be another line of message in GCKey, specifying Canadian Criminal Record...

I called in CIC to check whether they have sent the email of SA approval. Lady confirmed that SA is Passed but they have not sent any mail/email yet. Lady also could not comment when it will be sent. I guess, if they don't send the email of SA, I won't be able to know which LVO is going to processed as my mum is already here for last 3 years on supervisa.

Hi,
I am 2018 round 1 applicant, and file is sitting in London office, since July 2018.
my ecas status shows, "Application received". It doesnt say In Process, just says application received April 2018.
is it normal ?

same here and same for all folks almost. Only 2 people on forum so far got Medical from LVO. Lodon is busy in Brexit deal

Don't worry Same happened to me last week. My application started processing on Jan 25th.

First my status changed to Application received and Next week My parents status changes to APP Received.
my ecas is still showing App received
