Hi Everyone,
I'm in deliberate confusion that if I furnish that my wife would be accompanying me to Canada so is there no choice to let her come later to Canada while I travel alone in the prescribed time lines. The whole reason is not leave both of our jobs in India and migrate to Canada instead onlyo me going & settling down at the first place.

Any leads or links would be of great help.

Thanks.
If you are the primary applicant, you can land first and your spouse can land at a later time OR you and your dependent can land together. Its just that your spouse (dependent) can't land before you do .

Also, she needs to land and 'activate' PR status before your spouse's COPR/visa expires. Once she lands in Canada and 'activated' his/her PR, your spouse can go back to India and then return to Canada after a couple of years. This is colloquially called 'Soft landing'.

However, your spouse should remain in Canada for at least 2 years in each 5 year period in order to maintain PR status. This 5 year period begins from the day your spouse lands in Canada and 'activates' PR. Read more about PR Residency obligations here ->

There's nothing called an 'eCOPR'. There's an e-APR (Electronic Application for Permanent Residence) and then there's a COPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence). Which one is it?

2: my wes is about to expire in may 2019 as well, will it be a problem ??

Will it be a problem for what? To be able to answer, I would need more information... Like if you have already received an ITA and submit an application or you are yet to submit it.

The PCC of your current country must not older than 6 months on the day you submit your application.

If your PCC is less than 6 months old on the day you submit your PR application and it expires after you submit your application, that should NOT be a problem AFAIK.

As long as your ECA report is valid on the day you submit your application, you should not have problems if it expires later.

Hi,

Please help to find out the answers that if I was a full-time student, but, worked 20-hours per week and was paid for it. Will it count as my work experience? Also I worked as Compliance and validation analyst in a Biotechnology field which falls under quality and compliance department, what NOC will be applicable to it? I have put 2221 NOC, where some of my duties match but I couldn't find the good match for my job. Is this NOC correct?

It depends. While we don't know the nuances of their operating procedures, there is a minute but non-zero chance of this happening. If your A11.2 is complete, then you should be good to go AFAIK.

When my file reached NDVO, the officer here checked if my provincial nomination is valid and then approved my application.

If you were a full-time student in Canada , any work experience you might have had during that time doesn't count for your permanent residence application. Otherwise, you should be okay.

About the NOC, your best bet is to do some research on the NOC website, try different key words and you will find an NOC that contains majority of the responsibilities for your area of work .

Hi Rajkamal

I have Masters (MCA) degree from OSMANIA UNIV and i am looking for ECA will my CONSOLIDATED MARKSHEET willbe enough for WES

You need transcripts. Transcripts = Your degree AND Mark sheets attested by the registrar or a competent authority at the University and either sent to WES directly or provided to you in a sealed envelope . Now, since I didn't graduate from Osmania University, I wouldn't have a clue how your University issues it or what process needs to be followed. I would recommend checking with your University directly or check with your peers/seniors who might have gone through the process.

You can contact WES to ask specific questions like this.

do i need to also send BSC CONSOLIDATED MARKSHEET

If you had checked the 'documents required' section on WES website, you would have found the answer to this question.

  • For applicants submitting an Indian Master’s Degree or Postgraduate Diploma for evaluation, you must also provide your bachelor’s degree documents. WES cannot complete an evaluation without these documents.
  • The only exceptions where your bachelor’s degree documents are not required are: Master of Education, Master of Engineering, Master of Philosophy, and Master of Technology.
https://www.wes.org/required-documents/
So, MCA would is not on the exception list. So yes, you would have to submit your bachelor's documents as well.

Hi rajkamalmohanram

Thanks for your reply

1. Degree Certificate (Final or Provisional)

I Have PROVISIONAL and Also CONVOCATION

2. Mark Sheets/Statement of Marks

It lists all subjects/papers taken and marks earned for each year of study and must include your university student identification number

My CONSOLIDATED TRANSCRIPT will have all SEMESTER marks and passed year in it would it be sufficient

Hi! One of my previous jobs include working as an accountant.

Classification NOC 1111 A includes this paragraph:

Employment requirements
  • Chartered professional accountants, chartered accountants (CPA, CA) require a university degree and completion of a professional training program approved by a provincial Institute of Chartered Accountants and, depending on the province, either two years or 30 months of on-the-job training and membership in a provincial Institute of Chartered Accountants upon successful completion of the Uniform Evaluation (UFE).
  • Chartered professional accountants, certified general accountants (CPA, CGA) and chartered professional accountants, certified management accountants (CPA, CMA) require a university degree and completion of an approved training program and several years of on-the-job training and certification with a regulatory body is required in all provinces and territories.
  • Auditors require education, training and recognition as indicated for chartered professional accountants, chartered accountants (CPA, CA), chartered professional accountants, certified general accountants (CPA, CGA) or chartered professional accountants, certified management accountants (CPA, CMA) and some experience as an accountant.
  • Auditors may require recognition by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
  • To act as a trustee in bankruptcy proceedings, auditors and accountants must hold a licence as a trustee in bankruptcy.
  • Licensing by the provincial or territorial governing body is usually required for accountants and auditors practising public accounting.

Does this mean we need the Canadian CPA designation to be able to use NOC 1111? Or as long as our job description fits the NOC description and we have a license in our country of origin, we're good to go?

On another note, all skill types (0,A,B) have equal chances in getting an ITA?

I am currently working as an assistant manager and still working on which NOC to pick. If ever, it'll be either retail/wholesale trade manager, which is skill type 0; or retail/wholesale buyer with skill type B.

Need confirmation on this please. Thank you!

Hi guys,

I'm having difficulty entering my Canadian work experience in my Express Entry profile. Really appreciate if you can help me out :)

1) When I was student in Canada, I worked full time as a Research Assistant from Jan 2014-Feb 2014.

Based on this link(https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/canadian-experience-class.html), this work experience is not acceptable for Canadian Work Experience Class, correct?

Does that mean I should not mention it when I'm putting in my info? Or in the last question, when it asks if I was studying full time during this job, I say YES to this question and the system won't take this work experience into account?

2) During my education, I worked as a Fundraiser from the end of Oct 2014 to the beginning of Nov 2014 (3 days only!). As we only put the month and the year, would the system consider this work experience as a month of work? Or I should not put it in cause it was only for 3 days?

3) The next one was after my graduation. I worked from Aug 2015 to May 2016 as a Fundraiser. But it wasn't full time, neither part time. It was on shift basis. Total hours for each month is as follow;

Aug 2015 for 11 hours/ Sept for 8.5 hours/ Nov for 45.5 hours/ May 2016 for 8.5 hours

How should I put this info in? I have a huge confusion here!

4) I started my last job on June 26th 2017. Should I pick June as the starting date or July?

My Post Graduate Work Permit expired on July 2nd 2018 but before expiration date, my employer applied for LMIA for me and with the LMIA file #, I applied for Work Permit Extension. In fact, I was in Implied Status from July 2nd 2018 until Oct 30th 2018 (when I got the rejection letter as the LMIA wasn't issued) and I stopped working since then.

So when would be the end date for this job? July 2nd or Oct 30th? Also, which date should be mentioned in the Employment Verification Letter as the end date?

Thanks for all your help in advance :)
