@legalfalcon Hi Sir, so today finally it says decision made on ECAS....do you have any idea whn can we expect PPR? it's been a long wait please let me know!! and also how long do they take to stamp the passport and send it back??

If your application has been approved, you can expect the PPR within 1-2 weeks. The PPRs are sent in batches.

The turn around time after you send the passport is based on the Visa office. Usually 2-5 weeks.

I had applied for PR almost a year back, in March 2018. However, haven't yet received any resolution of my file. The same status is showing from July 2018.
Have ordered CGMS notes 3 times in between. However, no update so far.
Could anyone suggest me what should I do now?

Hello,

Anyone here have (or had) his background check (criminality) started right after medicals and it's still going? Even though your eligibility is passed? My eligibility is passed, but criminality in progress since July 14 '2018. It's very confusing for me.

@Thay my eligibility is recommend passed since june 2018, however up till today criminality is in process, according to GCMS notes security havent started, so yes

Wow, that makes it two of us i guess. I am waiting for GCMS notes. Did you check the notes for security screening? I really wonder why would it take so long for some of us.. eh

When file transfer to NDVO do they again check all job verification and all.
My file transfer to NDVO on Feb 15.

Rprf request 28 jan paid 29 jan.
got mail that my file transfer to NDVO because on 11 I mail them for office address change. They said any change plz inform NDVO because your file is there now. And after file at NDVO how much time they take.

I wish i could have an answer to your question, I'm not sure how they work on applications, as it seems that there is no consistency or order..many applications are left behind for some unknown reason..just heartbreaking... i would try to call cic and bug them as much as I could, ask them to leave a note for officer...

The MyCIC status message has nothing to do with what stage your application is at. Just because your see BGC in progress, does not mean that you BGC has started.

Each application goes through the following stages:

1. R10
2. Medicals
3. Criminality
4. Eligibility
5. Security

Hello legalfalcon,

I was wondering if you could help take a took at these few pages from my gcms notes and provide your input. Based on the case analyst comments in my notes, I think my eligibility was passed in October 2018 and I believe my security commenced after that. I have called IRCC a few times now and I even went through my MP. I was told that my background check is still in progress. I called IRCC yesterday and they told me that they contacted Calgary IRCC where my application is to find out what's causing the delay and Calgary said that a section of my background check is still in process. I believe that I'm under security screening given that the security check I think has been going on since end of October or November 2018 and should be done by now. Please review the notes and tell me what you think. Thanks
