Finally, I am glad to inform you that I received the invitation letter for my oath ceremony, which marks the end of this long process...
It will be held on the 6th of March 2019 at Double Tree hotel in Montreal...

I wish the luck for those who are still waiting, it’s just a matter of time and thank you for the support.

Hello everybody, I applied from Toronto, April 2018 and I am still waiting for the test invitation. Is it normal? I've called them and they said I just have to be patient. The thing is that my PR expires in September. What should I do? any suggestion? should I apply now to renew my PR since the website is saying the process time is 104 days but at this point I don't believe them. It's been 7 months since my application was processed and it was supposed to be 5 months.

My timeline:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 26, 2018.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on June 19, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on July 18, 2018.

My timeline:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 26, 2018.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on June 19, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on July 18, 2018.

You can wait till the 12 month mark for your citizenship application if you want. The current processing time for PR renewal is 55 days. If you wait till April, you still have about 5 months left which is plenty of time to apply. Mine was supposed to be expired in July and I took a gamble waiting for my citizenship app to be completed and it did so it's really up to you.

Yeah I guess we have to wait till the full 12 months is over . My application was pretty straight forward. . They probably have too many to process

I do not think that will qualify for urgent processing. You don’t have a US visa ?

No US Visa. I read on the CIC website that if you already applied and have a job offer that is valid, they will consider it. You fill in the web form and send it off to them.

i recommend you renew your PR if urgent travel is necessary. the timeline they say is 1 year from the time they start processing. if it doesn't happen you have all the right to call and they would give you a reason.
