Depends. If you reside in canada and commute daily to US job than you are fine. Otherwise it will be very difficult to get approval.

I haven’t received LVO yet so have no idea about specific documents. But I did submit Marriage Certificate for my parents to prove that my mom is dependent of my dad. And I also submitted birth certificate to prove they are my parents.

did CIC asked for the marriage certificate or you just filed it with your application to be safe. Won't the name as spouse in passport and sponsor(my)school certificates can prove that they are married. Sorry to be so specific but unfortunately my parents got married 35 years ago and getting a MC for their marriage is turning out to be big pain in Delhi.

I sent web enquiry to London Visa Office - Today I got their reply

Dear Applicant,

Please be advised that this application remains at our office in Mississauga at present. Once the file arrives in London, it will await an initial review, and we will be in contact thereafter.

Wondering what to reply - As per Case Notes file is in London VO since Oct 19 and they are saying its in Mississauga office - Annoying

My guess is the case is "assigned" to a LVO (London in your case) but has not yet been "transferred" to that LVO. That is why email says the applications remains in Mississauga. Only my guess though.

Through email. Keep an eye on your Spam/Junk folder too.
Email will outline instructions on next steps clearly. Usually Passport is sent out to LVO for stamping.

Thank you. Any idea if someone has a tourist visa do they still need to send the passport for a new visa/stamp or can the tourist visa be used to enter canada and once they land then go with COPR to the immigration officer.

Mine was valid for 1 year but it depends on your country. I know some people for India say pccs are valid for 6 months.

Have you link your application on myCIC? It sounds like the steps to signup for myCIC account.

It was after linking my application. The dashboard view you have on CIC online account. If you click on your application , it has "View Submitted Application" View. WHat is that for ? because it ask you to esign your application and doesnt even show you your submitted application.

The email says to send passport if you require a visa to enter to Canada or copy of the passport if you don't require a visa.
A visa is not required in her case (although she has a tourist visa still valid) but an ETA is required. Would that mean she only has to send copies?

Does anyone know how long the last step of parents sponsorship will take from Federal? last year I won in the lottery and my parents sponsorship application accepted successfully. Medical tests have done, Quebec Selection numbers were taken. Federal asked to send their CVs, CSQs and their police Background certificates which we sent all 3 months ago but up to now we have not received any news! do you know how long this last step will take?

I have sponsored my mother in 2018 and she finished her medicals on 20, December 2018 after that I didn't received any updated from CIC so just wondering if any one received Passport submission request for stamping or not.

My mother passed medicals on 20th of November, so one month ahead of yours. She just received on the 9th of February pre-arrival letter, but decision has not been made yet and passport has not been requested.
