Congratulations!
Can you make a profile on
MyImmiTracker?
I'm curious to know more about your travel history - did you have many trips to report? Where are you a citizen of? Are there any other peculiarities of your application that you'd like to share (once you've stopped drinking the champagne, of course)?
Friends,
Monday blues turned into Monday Rainbows. Got PPR today at 7.30am ET hours. They have asked to submit passport to Ottawa office even though I am based in US. Will be sending them a email to possibly change it to US Visa office address in East coast.
Good luck to all for processing on their applications.
Experts - Can we ask for change in passport submission location? Please let me know
Thank you
A 'Faux-IP2' is an expression that I have just coined to mean an IP2 that can come before its time either because you were required to provide your biometrics or because you did not pay your RPRF upfront and were asked to pay it later. @USProgrammer has addressed this in great detail over several posts in this forum.

Congrats to both of you for being in "real" IP2 now. Ghost update around IP1 to IP2 timing for those already in IP2 seems to indicate the "real" IP2 that FSW-O, non-biometrics, non-RPRF see as a transition from IP1 to IP2.
Hello, this is my application status, what would be the next step?please guide me. Application stepCurrent statusHelp

You're in IP2. No steps until PPR except possibly a ghost update. Please check my signature for explanation of terms. If you don't see the signature below my post, turn your phone sideways.
Like @derkdsou just said, you've been in "Faux-IP2". Your first ghost update will likely signify your real IP2. You probably had to give biometrics, pay RPRF after it being requested, or you are CEC. Since you don't have a signature, I have no way to know anything about your case.
Edit: Sorry, I'm an idiot and I was looking at the wrong person. You do have a signature and you are FSW-O, so I must assume you had to give biometrics or pay RPRF after not paying it upfront.

Real IP2. I can tell this is going to be fun every day. You were in Faux-IP2 as @derkdsou coined. This is your "real" IP2. Your background check has likely actually started now with your eligibility/criminality likely complete and your security is likely started.
You can confirm this by ordering GCMS or contacting IRCC by phone. You will need to ask specifically about criminality and security with those words, because by default, they will only say "background check is in progress" which comprises both security/criminality.

The ghost update is when you login and your application shows "Application/profile updated" instead of "Submitted" but you see no change in status; hence "ghost" update.
Since I had IP1, I saw the update, but it wasn't "ghost" since I changed from IP1 to IP2. People are now seeing "ghost updates" where they would have seen this transition, even though they've been in IP2 since MEP. My MEP to IP2 took about 25 days, so if you see a ghost update around this time period, it's probably your "real IP2", meaning probably: eligibility met, criminality passed, security ongoing.
You can call IRCC to ask, and ask specifically about eligibility, security, and criminality by name. They will not mention security and criminality unless you ask, speaking only in general "background check" terms instead.
