Guys I am in the 2nd round of applicants in year 2018. Today E-cas shows decision made on sponsors portion. Also shows processing has started on Permanent residency. However, Haven't got any correspondence email yet.

Sponsorship Application Status:

1. We received your application to sponsor XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX on August 8, 2018.
   
   Dependents listed on the application are: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
2. We started processing your application on January 8, 2019.
3. We sent you correspondence on August 27, 2018. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
4. We sent you correspondence on February 7, 2019 about the decision on your application.

Permanent residence Application Status:

1. We received XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX application for permanent residence on August 8, 2018.

Does this mean my sponsorship is approved? It states on PR portion that they have started the process on the PR side. How long does it usually take for second stage?

FINALLY.....I was able to link my application to mycic. And the mycic shows the following:
We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.

But Ecas shows: SA: Application Recd and PR: App Recd

So, whats really happening?
I am second round applicant.

London LVO has picked up on a very bad habit of sending pre-arrival letters but then doing security check and taking very long for it till medical expires. Done this to few people now I think including Yulia.

Spartan84 is another user hit by this bad habit.

That’s awful processing. I haven’t heard anything since sponsorship approved.

My parents has done the medicals sometime in April for 2018, they may have this in the system. I also read somewhere that medicals are valid for a year.
Does this mean they may clear the medicals based on what they have on the file? Or its is mandatory to have the new medicals?

Yeah, most likely those medical results won't attach to the new files. CIC is stupidly disorganized when it comes to these things. If they ask you for new medical just do it. Don't even bother bringing the old one up because they would not respond to you and waste your time.

Dears, I have a query On Form IMM 5748 INCOME SOURCES FOR THE SPONSORSHIP OF PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS

Under Source of Income - (e) Amounts Paid to you under the Employment Insurance Act, other than the special benefits.

Does Severance Pay comes under special benefits ?? Please advise.
