I have a temporary file number can we use that for applying an open work permit?

I think file number alone NO or if you have the 204(c) letter of support pnp and some other documents requires, I also need to apply BOWP soon as my wp ends on april7 so I really need an aor.
note also from the letter from cic with my file number says I have to link my application to my online account within 7days of receipt

I Have a job letter from my employer, but my visa is expiring soon on 26th February. so i am scared now.

Sent application on October 27, 2018
Received by CIO October 31, 2018
Got letter and Application number February 1, 2019

Had to submit birth certificate for 3 of my kids.

When you have the application number that is your AOR right?
I received mine in an email on Feb 1st, app received Nov 6 2018

NO, they said it's a PDF form like

It does say "If we begin to process your application, we will send you an acknowledgment of receipt letter or email with an application number."

So you receive AOR letter OR email with application number.....

Can anyone else confirm whether they got an email then an AOR letter too?

I received an email from CIC with a file number which is AOR. There is not PDF letter of the AOR.

After creating the link you should be able to download the pdf letter. Are you a paper based applicant?
