Same way as they're dealing with June applications right? Theyre ignoring us while they process Oct and Nov applications Pretty consistent of CIC across departments I must say
hahaha... @mathansri I trust you to keep my secrets safe. (although that's not actually me, you know. Been playing along to throw you off).... I already said too much.
Has anyone been in touch with an MP to help with their application? Is that something that can be useful?
I have been considering trying for a visit visa from my wife and kids once more even though they had been rejected twice while I was doing my MBA but we haven't tried since then. We always get rejected for not enough ties to country so they think we will illegally overstay, however considering I am a Canadian graduate with a job here working on an open work permit with eligibility passed and over 7months since AOR, I would hope that they give us atleast a visit visa so my family can be with me...any thoughts?

The people that reach out to MPs do so to ask for information not to 'help with their application' per se.
So Yeah, go ahead and ask your MP to help you find out the reason for the delay with your PR application.
Hoping you get the PR and the visiting visa this time around.

My honest thought; as I was in the same situation as you is not to apply for a Visitor Visa. it would like get rejected (family ties again) as they will wonder as to why they would want to visit! As you are married, the only option you mostly likely have is apply for Spousal Work Visa and include your kids as dependents. But do note that if you have a PR application pending they would likely not look at it. I applied for one and that was overlooked. am guessing its because of the PR application. When i finally got the PR, i withdrew the application.
Still hoping they refund me mind you...
Am sure @legalfalcon could explain better, but thats what I experienced. My PR application was for a 1 year too...

Talking to MP would only give as much information as that you would have right now through GCMS notes. Regarding the visit visas, you will be rejected every time you apply for them. I have been through this process. Your best bet will be to apply for open work permit for your wife as the primary applicant with your kids as dependents. I don't know how far will that application go but it is your best chance right now.
Have you checked by calling CIC that whether you are under security screening or not. If that is the case then the timeline for PPR may go beyond 6 months as posted by CIC.

I moved from USA to INDIA yesterday. AOR -- September
i will be employed with the same employer in INDIA as well.
What things I need to update CIC about the move.
I haven't moved my money from USA yet, as USA bank account is the one I showed as proof of fund ( also thought will move the money directly from USA to Canada )
