CAN I ADD MY WIFE WHO'S A REFUGEE CLAIMANT TO MY APPLICATION.

I need your opinions and inputs. Don't know if anyone has been through this scenario before. So I intend on applying for my permanent residency this February under the CEC. My concern is for my wife, she's currently a refugee claimant with no decision since 2016. She has been working in a skilled job on her work permit.

My question, Can I add her to my application and will her work experience counts towards my points?

I really do not need her points towards mine as i have enough points.

Just curious if there will be any consequences of her status delaying or affecting my application.

First off, if you are married, you must include your (non-Canadian) spouse in your application. Not optional. It is not mandatory to include her work experience in your profile though, so the real question is, when you include her but do not include her employment, do you still have enough points? (Having a spouse will reduce your points, unless her credentials add back to it).

Thank you for your input. Taking out her Canadian work experience, my points dropped to 446 from 474. I should still be alright with the points I have, going by the recent ITA cut-off points. Just dont know if her status will delay the processing l.

I can't address that - it might, but not sure why. In any case, it is unavoidable if you wish to apply for PR.
