You are right but what else we can do. For me it has been freaking 8 months almost since my background checks were started. Do you have an extensive traveling history?
No no travel no nothing, I’m just very angry I’ve been patient and I have no other choice than to continue to be patient but this is ridiculous

I lived in Sweden for 7 years and I have submitted police reports from Sweden and Pakistan and everything is clear but still don’t know why the hell it is taking so long? I am mad myself at this disgusting process
Its not fair some get background checks done in a day or a week and other wait for an year or more. So frustrating and stupid process
Hi Pak0403, when did your background check start? And have you been requested for a remedical? My wife has been requested for a remedical recently and her background check is in process since mid December 2018. I don't know how long it will stay in process though she has no travel history. We are also October 2017.
I asked you that question because I wanted to get an idea what could possibly happen next.

Hey my medical is going to expire in April 2019 but my background checks are in process since May 2018. But if you are request for remedical you can expect to hear something good soon probably. It’s been almost 8 months for me.

So ever since you filed your application you have been requested for medical only once? Because medical is valid for only one year so if you are October 2017 applicant how come your medical is valid till April 2019?
How much total fees do we need to pay for spouse visa?
Thank you.
Hi guys,
Just a small, but also frustrating update.
Today we received an email from RIH at LVO asking for an explanation on how I supported myself during a period of unemployment. We’ve already sent the information.
Also, GCKey has a small change: instead of, “You passed the medical,” it now says, “You do not need a medical.” Possibly because my medical expired on December 22??? No idea really...
One more thing - my wife’s MPs office told her that my application has been designated a priority case based on a couple of letters from her doctors. Inshallah that will mean good things for us. It’s been almost 15 months since we applied and about 10 months since we were together.
Thanks.
if you had a period of unemployment n they asked about it then i am supposing the sponsor here is a permanent resident and not a citizen?

I got medical request late in April 2018 after 6 months since I filed my application. That is why our medical will expire in April 2019

Hi there - I’ve got a new and promising update. Today we received a request to complete a new medical and to pay the right of permanent residence fee. My lawyer says this is a good sign and we are in the home stretch..... inshallah!!!
Today got an email saying my wife's application has been forwarded to London visa office or further processing.
