Express Entry Step by step instructions.

With reference to my EE profile, I have following questions/clarifications:

1. I have Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical from NED University, Karachi and I am the main applicant. Under Field of study, there is no provision of Engineering there . What should I select here? I believe Applied Sciences is correct option is I read on this forum.

This is just for data collection and does not really matter, so you can select Applied sciences or even other.

2. My level of education is being asked on 2 places. First entry is not linked with ECA report. Here , should be "Bachelors degree or 3 or more year program at a university......" or should it be " Masters degree or professional degree or professional degree needed to participate in a licensed profession".

Put your highest qualification. If you have a master's degree just put Masters.

3. What shall I select second time on same page where they are linking it with ECA report with below words

QUOTE : Level of education (Canadian equivalent) shown on Education Credential Assessment (ECA) report Your ECA report will tell you if your foreign education is equal to a completed Canadian degree, diploma or certificate. You must have the results of an ECA report to answer the question. If you are not sure what your result was, visit our website to understand what your ECA report results mean. (required)
UNQUOTE:

You put all your post-secondary qualifications that you have an ECA for individually.

4. For Intermediate Science ( grade 12), what should I select under Field of study? My WES profile says as below:
Name on Credential: Khurram Jafri
Credential Authentication: Documents were sent directly by the institution
Country: Pakistan
Credential: Higher Secondary Certificate
Year: 1993
Awarded By: Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Karachi
Major/Specialization: General Academic
Canadian Equivalency: Secondary school diploma

Only post-secondary education is required, so don't include this.

5. My wife has Masters in Microbiology. What should I select for her under Field Of Study? Some one told me to choose Health sciences. Is this ok for her?

This is just for data collection and does not really matter, so you can select Applied sciences or even other.

6. Complete/full academic year for my BE degree should be 4. Correct?

It depends on the number of years you took to complete it. Put the time you took.

7. Complete/full academic year for my Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC/Intermediate Science) whose Canadian Equivalency ( as appearing below -taken from attached WES report) is Secondary School Diploma should be 2 years. Right?

Canadian Equivalency: Bachelor's degree (three years)

It depends on the number of years she took to complete it. Put the time she took.

7. For filling her Masters credentials , under field of Complete/full academic year, what should I write? 4 or 1?.Please respond. Extract from her WES report is given below:

According to the ECA her master's degree is equivalent to s Canadian Bachelors degree. So you can only claim points for 2 Bachelor's degrees not a masters.

Number of years put 1 year.

8. For NOC code, my job is related to Purchasing/Supply Chain. I have experience of almost 13 years in this field. My current Job Title is " Section Manager Purchase". I have heard that 0113 " Purchasing Managers" is not in demand in any pnp program. Can I select 1225 " Purchasing Agent & Officers" which is lower level than managers?

It's really up to you. Do your research and select the one that best suits your situation and experience.

One more query, no gap in address history mean the end of one period match the start of the next period?

address 1: 4/2/12- 5/19/14
address 2: 5/19/14-7/11/16

or the start of the next period should be the day after the last day of the previous period?

Hi,

In education history just mention the engineering degree. You can then mention the 1 year maths course in your personal history section if you did it within the last 10 years.

Read page 1 of this thread. It will give you a good idea of how it works.

Step 1 and 2 are to get your educational credentials assessed by an accredited organization and taking language test (IELTS) and others if you speak French.

Hi,
I have doubts regarding my husband qualification and work exp for score.
1. He is pursuing MTech + PhD in Part-time evening college. He's done with his semesters only Project work and research approval is remaining. will that count for our score?
Can I send my Mtech Semester(theory part's transcripts to WES)?
2. He also has some patents(research patents with US Patent committee) on his name. Will that fetch anyway for the score?
If Yes, How do I get it reflected to the score??
3. He's 30 now with 8.5 years experience as of now and I'm 28 with 6.5 years experience(B.Tech). we are yet to give our ielts. As of now, both of us stand between 6.5 and 7 in the mock tests.
In this case, Who can be preferred as primary applicant?

For the spouse's work experience, can we not mention anything under it at all and then just mention it in the personal history after we get an ita? I read something about this somewhere but would just like to confirm if this is not considered as misrepresentation. Thank you in advance to those who will respond.

If you are not claiming points for your husband experience you can put the details under personal history
