Overall, nobody can tell how much longer your ppr will still take. It sucks, but there's no logic to how CIC works.

Did they tell you that your medical has been extended because even you didn’t get medical request but your spouse did.

They told me they put down a request to extend mine. Not yet extended, they said I may get a remedical request, but it's kind of unlikely. It is easier to extend if the person is already in Canada.

Not sure, I guess Dec. 7, when they asked my apospofor a remedical

If I were you, I would just sit tight and wait for their instructions.

my MR was exactly this day last year (Dec. 18, 2017)
Is there any significance about this ghost update, or they are just considering ask me to ME again?

I heard they usually extend your MR validation if the security is not done. If they ask you to redo ME, it's a good sign.
