December 2017 - Citizenship Applicants

Can't be sure of future emergencies, unfortunately. Hoping for the best although feeling bitter.

I read somewhere else that you can get a one time visa for emergencies. especially if you have an embassy in your country of destination.

I applied in late December 2017 and I haven't received a test invite yet. I live in Mississauga. It has been over 11 months now. Is there anything I could do? It may be worth noting that my family (4) who applied shortly before me in 2 separate applications in Mississauga are all Canadian citizens now.

Check the excel sheet and you may find some fellows from Mississauga who might be in same ship. You can call them to wake them up to get the information.

By God’s grace we have got the oath letter today (snail mail) , to appear and take oath on December 20th at Toronto.

Thank you for your reply. I hope my application proceeds soon and everyone else waiting that long. My PR card has expired 7 months ago and I am doubtful whether I should renew it or not. May be waiting for one application is better than waiting for two. It was beyond my worst dreams to nearly close a full year without even receiving a test invite but let's keep hope.

I don't think it matters. They don't care based on others' experiences. It's actually a problem if they are waiting applicants to call or if they give priority to applicants who contact them and push others further.

Hi, Below are my timelines update
- Received test invite on Oct 12 for Nov 1
- Passed the test on Nov 1 in Scarborough
- Decision made on Nov 2
- Pending oath invite

Did anyone did their test on Nov 1 in Scarborough and didn’t receive the Oath invite yet?

Can anyone please share the email address the oath invites are sent from?

Hey after it changed to DM did you receive any correspondence from CIC? Mine changed to DM but no communication from CIC and no update on ECAS notes.

I did my test on Sept, 27 2018 at Scarborough office. Decision Made ecas on Sept 28 (the day after the test). I’m a Dec 18, 2017 applicant.
It’s been two months and a half after test and no communication for oath
I called once and sent case inquiry without any response so far
Anyone Scarborough office with same delay?
