Yup, you will see the BGC line in GCKey changing to "in process". The line should be like that:
We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Can anyone provide some insight regarding whether the following is normal?
- application was received june 25th
- received AOR1 mid august. I linked it to gckey account
- absolutely nothing since. Not even SA approval. GCkey website states that the review for eligibility has not yet started.

Any advice would be appreciated. Concerned i won't be seeing my wife for another year.

Mine was like that before, so I would assume that they either did not start your BGC or did not update your GCKey.

Did you get in touch with IRCC? They can give you more info regarding your application. Unfortunately every case is different, so there is not possible to say what is "normal"and what is not.

Guys its been more than 2 months since medical approved since then no file transfer email. This is July 3rd applicant. Do you think i should raise web form inquiry or contact to MP?

Do you think agent should be able to say if anything wrong with the application. We called 3 times and same response that application looks good no issue just wait!

Any advise will be very helpful!

If you dont get positive response from CIC keep calling again and again. Atleast 1 time you will get some supportive agent how can help you and will give you more detailed information.

well the only way to identify is AOR2 email. If you have not received it yet then no way! Lately things has been so uncertain at IRCC that no body can tell any absolute answers.

It’s normal. If you contact your MP they will just tell you that you’re within the standard processing time. You can try contacting a call centre agent but they will only give you information if you’re either the PA or their representative.

same with us, after medical now 3 months no information / no updates / agent says same and i would recomend you to order gcms notes to get clear picture whats happening at backgroud
